I had heard on the radio that McQueary is under protection, not because he witnessed a rape of a child and did not intervene, but because PSU students blame him for Joe Pa's firing. It would not surprise me one bit based on their horrific behavior to this point.

Just read on one of the comments that Franco is on the BoD for Second Mile foundation, so he's going to do everything he can to mitigate the issue b/c likely his booty is gonna get dragged into this sooner or later by proxy.

I wonder about that pimping allegation. If true and all the names come out....this thing just got bigger than any imagined.

Did you watch his last couple of years?

He was a great back, but his last two years... especially with Seattle, he ran out of bounds constantly...

In fact, I remember Jim Brown criticizing him for it...

I read where a recruit in South Carolina has come out and said that Sandusky was recruiting him for Penn St. as recent as two weeks ago.

If this is true, they can all go to jail as far as I care.

I think that the trial will make OJ's look like a slow day in traffic court.

“Of course we’re going to riot,” Paul Howard, a 24-year-old aerospace-engineering student at Penn State University, told the New York Times. “What do they expect when they tell us at 10 o’clock that they fired our football coach?”

After Penn State scandal, The Citadel details abuse allegation

(CNN) -- With many focused on the Penn State child sex abuse scandal, a South Carolina military college said Saturday it regrets not pursuing an allegation against a camp counselor further than it did.

The Citadel released details on one of its alumni, Louis Neal "Skip" ReVille, who faces charges including criminal sexual conduct with a child.
In 2007, the college received an allegation that five years earlier, ReVille invited two campers at The Citadel Summer Camp into his room to watch pornography. They did not touch each other, but engaged in sexual activity, the college said.

"Though the general counsel was unable to corroborate the accusation, the college continued its investigation with the camper's family, who made it clear they were very concerned about maintaining their privacy and not having their names publicized.

"Despite the concerns of the family, whose right to privacy was foremost on our minds, we regret that we did not pursue this matter further," Citadel President Lt. Gen John. W. Rosa and Doug Snyder, chairman of The Citadel Board of Visitors, wrote in a statement.

Paterno has hired J. Sedgwick Sollers as his attorney...

He's a powerful defense attorney that represented George H. W. Bush in the Iran-Contra affair...

I expect he's anticipating civil suits at the least...

I would expect Paterno has nothing to worry about from a civil suit. He reported the incident, and failure to meet a "moral" obligation is not a matter for a court to decide.

I have been TRYING to get this through your thick head... he KNEW... proof is here...

You are letting your love of JoePa cloud judgement...

Who am I? A guy wanting to discuss things... you are not willing to be objective... A guy that is a faithful husband and father... a guy that would have kicked Sandusky's *** or died trying...

You are too blinded with homerism to discuss things...

Joe Pa is NOT the villain, but he could have stopped this whole crap...

I didn't see the proof in the story. The fact that Paterno fired Sandusky is not, in and of itself, proof. It raises suspicion, no question, but it is not proof. There are a ton of reasons assistant football coaches are fired and you cannot merely assume in this case there is only one possibility.

It's "see no evil" idiots like Franco who give the rioters cover for what they do. Hey Franco: friendship has its limits.

Absolutely. I agree with you 100%.

read this somewhere that Sandusky was seen over weekend walking at a mall with a PSU shirt on while Joe Paterno can't leave his house. (need to verify this)

Also - second Chief at Second Mile resigns and they hire prominent former Philly DA Lynne Abraham to represent them.

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/b...rity_hires_Lynne_Abraham.html?cmpid=125219969

Also - civil suits to PSU may be limited because victims over 20 years old.

I'll try to post links, these are from Philly.com

Joe Paterno's name off Big Ten trophy

By Adam Rittenberg

Updated: November 14, 2011, 12:21 PM ET

In light of the child sex-abuse scandal at Penn State, Joe Paterno's name has been removed from the new Big Ten championship trophy, the conference announced Monday.

The Big Ten said that the crisis at Penn State, which led to Paterno's firing as coach Wednesday night, prompted the decision to remove his name from the trophy. The new trophy, to be awarded Dec. 3 at the inaugural Big Ten football championship game at Indianapolis, had been named for both Paterno and former University of Chicago coach Amos Alonzo Stagg.

It will now be known only as the Stagg Championship Trophy.

I didn't think Sandusky was on Penn State's payroll.

A new article by someone who coached on the Penn State staff for a couple of years and who himself was abused sexually as a child...

The voicemail was left by a buddy from his playing days back at Brown University.

“He made a reference to the Sandusky thing,” Matt Paknis says. “I didn’t know what he was talking about, but it sounded weird.”

The Sandusky thing. By now, America knows it all too well. The Sandusky thing is the indictment of former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky on 40 counts of sexual abuse against eight children, an indictment that already has led to the ousters of university president Graham Spanier and legendary coach Joe Paterno, even though neither has been charged with a crime; to the indefinite leave imposed upon assistant coach and potential star witness Mike McQueary; and to unrest among students on the school's campus.

Sandusky has pleaded innocent to the charges. Paterno released a statement over the weekend, through his son Jay, that he would not have further comment on the situation.

When Paknis, 49, started investigating the Sandusky thing on the Internet, it hit especially close to home.
