People turning on Dak after week 2?

Nah, some people in this thread and others have pretty much taken the position that it's unfair to blame Prescott and that in fact, it was the OL, the WRs and RBs who played bad and let Prescott down. If they had played better, Prescott would have been magnificent.

Even you kind of do it with your last sentence, when you say Dak's play could not be further from the reason we lost this game. Actually it's one of the prime reasons we lost this game today along with bad OL play. Even when he had time, he made some bad decisions with the ball and some really poor throws.
What do you expect a 2nd year QB to do with zero run game (almost literally), poor oline play and horrendous playcalling? Dak certainly has things he needs to tighten up, but I can't see any young QB succeeding if their team played the way this team did today.

it's good to run into this kind of defense during the regular season.
Dak and the team can learn alot.
watch film of the few teams that have beat them recently.

Nobody should be happy about today but we need some perspective.

Kent Brockman: Professor, without knowing precisely what the danger is, would you say it's time for our viewers to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?

Professor: Yes I would, Kent.

Dak sucked this game. So did the rest of the team. Not too sure what else needs to be admitted. We played the best pass defense in the league and they showed why. That's what elite defenses do. They make quarterbacks look bad. The real problem is why our defense made Trevor Siemian look like Tom Brady. The Broncoes had what, over 20 first downs?

Is it his fault the defense sucks and the OL and Zeke did nothing to help? Jesus, this is going to be Romo all over again.

Romo was throwing the ball 300 plus yards on a bad day with no team
stacking the line to stop the RB, but playing two deep coverage to prevent him from beating them by his arm.

Nothing like the two..

I expect fans to admit the obvious and not get defensive when people criticize their sacred cow. Prescott was not good today. Just leave it at that.

He was not good today. There are no if's or but's. He was bad. So was the OL. So was the running game. But Prescott sucked on his own too.

Fans crack me up, after a few games last year Dak was on his way to the hall of fame. This year he is overrated. There are not many quarterbacks that would have had success today.

Dak does need to push the ball downfield more to get players out of the box though. Lets see where we're atleast midway through the season before making quick judgements 2 weeks into the season.

Who said he was good today? I certainly didn't. I'm just pointing out that the way the offense has functioned the last two games (especially today) is not conducive to any young QB looking good.

Turning on Dak or just admitting reality?

He's not been good the first two weeks. He was actually pretty horrible today.

That's just the reality. It doesn't mean he's now Brandon Weeden forever, but the first two games have done nothing to quell the belief that maybe last year was just the fluke year for Dak.
My only take was "last years entire season was a fluke"?
Dak will get back to back and fix it.
There are damn sure some problems of course

QBs this Denver team has made look bad in recent years:

Tom Brady
Aaron Rodgers
Ben Roethlisberger
Marcus Mariota
Derek Carr
Philip Rivers
Russell Wilson
Matthew Stafford
Matt Ryan
Drew Brees
Cam Newton

And now... Dak Prescott

This notion that Romo was unbelievably accurate the whole game is pure fantasy. He has the most 4th quarter comebacks because we would often be behind going into the 4th quarter.

When they scrapped JGs game plan and had to rely on his arm. He was deadly accurate when he had this OL and the team actually ran the ball, meaning the things Dak is working with now..

I agree with you only difference IMO is Romo sat for longer so he had some time to develop unlike Dak.

Romo had Murray who didn't get 8 yards on 9 attempts in a game. He had a younger Witten and Dez who both coutd get open. BIg difference.

As I said in the first post you responded to, some seem to think he was fine simply a victim of bad play and players around him.

I'm not sure folks are not saying he played well today. No one that watched the game can come to any conclusion other than he was awful. I think the rub for most folks comes from the fact that people are already writing him off for the year and his career.
I do not see many writing him off but I sure see a lot of people taking offense at any criticism. Almost all of the critics are just concerned and being honest about it.

And there are people and some media analysts who still questioned if Dak was really as good as last year showed. Are you denying that?

And the first two games have certainly not put that question to rest.

Murray is better than Zeke now??

Witten was that much older in 2014? Ogletree was a good WR? That Garrett brother was a good passing game coordinator?

Dak has had a more experienced Martin and Frederick now. He's not working with Leonard Davis and Gurode, a guy who couldn't even call plays at the line..

Dak refuses to go down field a ton, and that limits the offense. Denver was jumping the short stuff. Of all of those receivers, there has to be someone running one on one with someone, and he has to go there. This is what Brady does all game long, find the one on one and unload.
