RP started every game, no? Parcells must love him and if you don't agree you are not a real Cowboys fan;)

This problem goes back to the draft a couple of years ago when we picked the OT from USC (his name has already slipped my mind).

Then, in FA we tried to pick up a RT, but he decided to sign away even though we offered more money!

Our only other option was Tucker, but with Flo getting injured, we just didn't have any other options.

Well, say hello to pick #18 in the 2006 draft.

Generally poor showing this evening.

9-6? Yuck. I pegged us for 11-5 at the start. Bledsoe was not so sharp tonight, and the o-line, again, was less than stellar.

I think we should all go get Petitti. It's all his fault. <eyes rolling again>

try 9-7

He's a rookie and he's started all season. He needs help an he's likely going to get it in the form of coaching and some competition for his spot. He's had his baptism by fire. Here's hoping he gets what he needs.

Petitti wasn't the main problem. Kicker was worse than he.

But without offering any excuses for Rob, what did you really expect from a 6th round rookie???
Let's see.
Hmm, maybe to not give up 20 sacks in a year.
Or maybe to get better with more games played instead of getting worse.
Lots of good NFL players were 6th rounders.
And guess what????? SOME ACTUALLY PLAY WELL THEIR FIRST YEAR TOO!!
GEEZ...

I personally think Petitti shouldn't be on an NFL roster, and the 6th round was way to generous for him.

He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football field...and not even as a water boy.

He lacks foot speed more than anything alse.........he is way too slow to be a tackle in the NFL.

Wow. He got beat by Little again and just stuck his hands up looking at the ref? What were you expecting them to call? Abuse of a RT?

his hands were up because the DT held him and he couldn't outside to attempt the block on Little

Hey Dave, you may be right...but aren't rookies supposed to improve and not regress?

Keep your chin up. Don't get discouraged. Get in the weight room and build up. Work on it.

But don't give up.

And don't let the nay-sayers get you down.

My new year's wish for Petitti is to find a high school team that may take him.

There is NO REASON, NOT ONE, that you can give that would justify him being abused the way that he has been. 6th rounder, 7th rounder or even undrafted.

RP couldn't be a back-up for half the teams in the NFL and probably some college teams!! I can't imagine with his incredible quickness and strength that he could get a 17th chance, but we'll see;)

pettiti has terrible footwork and is as quick as a bed ridden hospital patient...its not something a weight room will fix

:hammer:

There is no excuse for countless penalties and sacks and missed blocks, even if you are a late round pick rook.

So what he gave up 20 sacks this year. He's a rookie and only going to get better. A full year of strength & conditioning plus a year under his belt and more coaching ....yada yada....
Bill and Ireland know best, all those who badmouth Pettiti are idiots....

Man, I need to go to the record books or something see if Petitti broke any rookie records with regards to sacks given up.

He should NOT start next year at RT unless he pulls a Bradie James and turns into a different player overnight.

Actually I bet 1 of my hairs that he broke all records for sacks allowed over a season by a Olineman.
