PFF Grades - LBs

Yes, since Twitter is more qualified at football analytics than a site based around football analysis. It's easy to cherry pick a play or two and scream at the top of your lungs. Dude had a bad play. Everyone has them. He's been pretty decent overall this year regardless of what Twitter says.
The Eagles ran 3 running plays, so how many plays are there to cherry pick? It's about his run fits. I don't need any platform to develop my opinion...dude isn't good vs the run or pass.

Also, I don't scream about football, stop projecting your thoughts/imaginations on to me.

Conner Williams is currently ranked #9 among Guards. That's another interesting one.

Rewatching Monday's game to focus on Biadasz, I've noticed in the first three drives I've rewatched so far that there were times Williams absolutely stood up Cox or Hargrave one-on-one in pass protection.

Surely you didn't take that part of my comment so literally. If you did, you missed the point. The rating is based off of three games, not one. Is he a grade A run stopper? Nah. Is he as bad as what the posters on this board make him out to be? Absolutely not, and that was the point of my comment.

The defense, to include a heavy snap count by Smith, has held opposing teams to 17 and 14 points respectively over the last two weeks....yet here we are again trashing an adequate player. It's pretty silly tbh.

PFF player grades are frankly garbage and have always been so. I knew that when in one game vs the Giants Romo had several TDs and no turnovers and like 75% completion rate; his QBR and QB Rating was through the roof.
BUT Eli who had a pick and barely 50% completion rate and only 1 TD somehow had a higher PFF grade. By the way the Giants lost as well.

I mean this place says a lot of stupid stuff.....

"Dak's not accurate"
"Zeke is cooked"
"Tyron is finished"
"Amari can't play on the road"
"Pollard is better than Zeke"

Let me qualify; he is one of the best one legged linebacker in the league...but if you think he is a good linebacker then I agree with your statement...we can just ad yours to your list..

I don't mind PFF, directionally it seems to backup a number of opinions. But how did Dak not score a better grade missing just 5 passes on Monday?

The Dak haters on here have hacked the system and put in a virus therefore manipulated the outcome for him.
So what ever the rating, is deducts an X amount from that.
:lmao:

They will do anything to meet their agenda and narratives. :muttley:

I find it interesting how people's bias clouds their judgment on how players are performing. PFF isn't perfect by any means, but it's a decent tool and is fairly accurate in my opinion. It's limited data at this point and some of our players rankings are bound to change. For example, Tony Pollard is ranked #1 among RB's at the moment and I have a hard time seeing that hold up all year.
Well Jaylon does suck and is an embarrassment

look at the long run the Eagles had - he lets the guy run right by him

he’s lost and a pile jumper

can’t wait until he’s gone ✌️

I mean I don't make generalized statements like that anyway. I'm also aware that Jaylon Smith is more of the standard NFL linebacker than he is the "worst linebacker in the league". The opinion formed from fans who don't watch any other team play. Hell if you just watch the Cowboys play you'd at least see Eagles and Chargers have much worse at linebacker.

He does suck. Wait until we play a team that can run the ball. We have played probably 3 of the worst running teams in the NFL. Jaylon will be exposed.

Lol.. You seem to take pride in wanting to see him fail, can't even admit the man is playing well

Imagine thinking he's an embarassment and he's your highest rated linebacker aside from Parson's who's become a edge rusher?

I can acknowledge that he hasnt been exposed yet. Like I said we haven't played any quality run teams which is where he really struggles. Dline is also doing a much better job in front of him.

Jaylon is terrible. Any JAG linebacker can be doing what he is doing. Nothing special about any of it.

Playing well? No, I would never say that. Playing well is making plays and being a difference maker and he simply isnt doing that.

That's cool. We just like different stuff.

I don't pay for access to PFF, but here's a link to the LB grades so far for the season. In the link, the top 3 are shown, then the rest are in some random order. Just click the player's name and you will get their overall grade and rank.

https://www.pff.com/nfl/grades/position/lb

Parsons is #3 overall
Jaylon is #20 overall
LVE is #67 overall
Neal is #66 overall

A couple that I also found interesting:
Myles Jack is #51 overall
Anthony Hitchens is #63 overall

Tackles for loss:
Micah #35
LVE #35
Jaylon not listed in the top 100, none made!

I see him running around and making tackles, but it's always after the guy has made a substantial gain or caught the ball. The dude was supposed to be a playmaker but I'm seeing none. I'll grant that he's better than what most people make him out to be, but up to this point it's been below expectations. Maybe the new defense will work better for him,,,
