PFT: Bears to make counteroffer to Skins

Giggity.

They have to ask for a defensive player if they want anything, since the Skins don't exactly have a stockpile of picks (like the teams with REAL front offices) to make themselves versatile.

It's also funny how the Bears see that it's the Skins offering, and react something like this.

Day 1 - "We have heard nothing of this. We're disappointed that the Commanders organization would make something like this public.

Day 2 - "We are considering offers"

Day 3 - "Hey - this is the freaking Commanders. They're run by people who make Carrot-top seem witty. Let's rape and pillage."

I love it.

I didnt know Dennis Miller was a Cowboy fan...

The Skins are trying to recapture a little Wilbur Marshall magic. Difference is, this team ain't one player away from glory.

I'm pretty sure he counts as cap space and I'm almost positive that he counts as a roster spot...one of the recourses team's face with holdouts. Sanders retired. He held out for just a little while IIRC, and then retired. He then didn't count against their roster space and couldn't play for another team unless the Lions then "released" him.

Briggs wouldn't be retiring in this case as he would never sign the proper NFL paperwork to do so.

Maybe Adam can help here?

You aren't familiar with Art's posting style.

Art is saying it's a great move.... but he hope it doesn't go through. In doing so, later he can argue both sides of the fence and say he was right and forecasted correctly.

It leaves the door open for Art to argue it in the future.... and ever be wrong. That's his M.O. To cover all his bases so he can never be wrong. Been watching him do this for 7 years now

At least some skins fans are aware, lol.

I was just skimming through that thread and there's a Giant fan with like 8,000 posts. Do the Giants not have a decent forum for the poor guy to post at?
If you mean Tom, I'd love to have that guy posting here more often. I have nothing but respect for him.
