Sure it is, it's not like Shottenheimer can hold out for more money, he's never done anything anywhere he's been2nd interview will be all about the money, so it's not a done deal yet

I can see Stephen now…offering a cheeseburger and fries for a signing bonusSure it is, it's not like Shottenheimer can hold out for more money, he's never done anything anywhere he's been
I honestly can't believe not knowing if you have a viable candidate after the first meeting. Just goes to show how incompetent and gun shy our owner has become. He's failed so miserably...so many times...I honestly don't think he could make a single decision on his own.
A turd in the sewer is a better hire. Only the Cowboys. Take someone who hasn't been great anywhere and turn him into their HC smh. Only because Jerry Jones is being cheap. I bet He signed that stupid incentive based contract.2001 - Commanders QB coach - 28th ranked offense
2002-2005 - Chargers QB coach - The only years Brees wasn't in All Pro mode
2006-2011 - Jets OC - had some of the best defenses and failed offensively
2012-2014 - Rams OC - 25th, 21st, and 21st ranked offenses
2015 - Georgia OC/QB coach - 85th ranked offense
2016-2017 - Colts QB coach - 30th ranked offense
2018-2020 - Seattle - OC - Wilson didn't cook
2021 - Jags - Passing game coordinator - 32nd ranked offense
I'm POSITIVE there are better options.
Hes wasted the golden years of Tyron Smith, Martin, Frederick, Ware, Witten, Romo, Gurode, Davis, Zeke, Dez, and countless others.Got to love wasting the golden years of players like Tyler Smith, Micah Parsons, and Ceedee Lamb. We are going to waste the next 2-3 years of their career on a trash HC hire.
There are 100's of better options for sure. Those stats mean nothing to Jerry, what matters is BS would cheap and BS will be ok with JJ being the defacto HC.2001 - Commanders QB coach - 28th ranked offense

I think we can excuse him for the Jags thing. Urban Meyer was the HC and that was a complete disaster.2001 - Commanders QB coach - 28th ranked offense

This is going to solidify the hire.On X Cowboys' Schottenheimer Interview Sparks Fan Outrage
The Dallas Cowboys have officially interviewed Brian Schottenheimer with 2nd interview planned for their head coaching vacancy, a move that has not been well-received by the fanbase. According to NFL com and SI, this interview has led to widespread frustration and debate. Critics, as reported by BVM Sports and Pro Football Network, argue that this choice reflects a lack of ambition or direction from the Cowboys' management, with some fans expressing their disillusionment to the extent of contemplating withdrawing their support. The backlash underscores a broader sentiment that the team might not be serious about pursuing championship success, as echoed by fan reactions across various platforms.

And here is the kicker...You would think they would be able to read the tea leaves. Interviews Kellen Moore....then they get all the blow back in the media..."He's not the right candidate"...bla bla bla bla....Then when they interview Schotty...who's been on this staff for over a year now...and completely under performed...And your getting a reaction from the media this would be a great hire....Something doesn't add up.If there is truly a 2nd interview scheduled, that for sure means the plan is to hire him. Interview once ehhh but 2nd interview yeah no question.
Apparently, football is not gonna be very high on my interest list for next 4 years.
