George Farmer was the #1 WR in 2011, ahead of Odell Beckham, Sammy Watkins, Kelvin Benjamin, Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker

I'm sure he is one frustrated kid. To see all those players that you either played with in HS (Woods, Lee, Richardson) or rated higher than (listed above), all in the NFL and you go undrafted. Hopefully he uses that as motivation and the Cowboys catch lighting in a bottle.

Here's hoping it's a Jimmy Smith type situation. He had injuries with the Cowboys and even after being released it took some time for him to develop. But once he did..

Farmer was a 5-star recruit out of Serra HS. He was widely considered the top prospect on a Serra team that also had Robert Woods, Marqise Lee, and Paul Richardson. Farmer also finished second in the California state finals with a 10.40 in the 100. His dad played with the Rams.

As far as what happened at USC, it was some politics and bad breaks. Kiffin kept changing him from WR to RB and back. I get what Kiffin was doing, Farmer is crazy fast and he had Robert Woods and Marqise Lee putting up great numbers at WR. Still, George has never played RB. He turned his ankle late in the season and missed the rest of the season. He was still behind Woods and Lee the next year and got hurt again.

He was having a great spring before 2013 but then jacked up his left knee and missed the whole season. As for last year, I felt he looked like the 5-star prospect he was supposed to be, when given the chance. He looked explosive and showed to have difference making speed. The problem at USC is we are littered with talented WR's. Nelson Agholar was rightfully so the #1 target. Another former highly recruited WR Darreus Rogers had bulked up and was supposed to be the possession guy. Sarkissian also wanted to get his 5-star recruits, JuJu Smith and Adoree Jackson, touches as well. When it all played out, Agholar and JuJu were the main guys with George being the 3rd guy.

Supposedly, George Sr. was not happy with Sarkissian and felt Farmer would get pushed aside in 2015 for players Sarkissian recruited. As a Trojan fan, I really wanted to see Farmer back. As a Cowboy fan, I'm thrilled to see him here.

thanks for that, now it makes sense why he didnt go back for his Senior year.this is a great opportunity for these UDFA Wrs because we essentially could have 2 open spot at WR and only Chris boyd and Devin street as serious competition for those spots.they couldnt ask for a better situation and if one of those can return punts then they have the inside track to make the team.

The Boys brought in some solid talent at WR via the UDFA route. Antwan Goodley, George Farmer, Deontay Greenberry, Nick Harwell & Lucky Whitehead.

Anyone that sticks will likely have to separate themselves on ST's as a returner and/or on coverage units. Or pehaps prove far too good at WR to let go.

- Goodley was a productive receiver...returned 45 kicks in his career, and also had close to 20 career rushing attempts.
- Greenberry (along with Goodley), were the most consistently productive receivers of the bunch.
- Farmer's speed, potential & HS pedigree makes him intriguing...has the speed/athleticism to be a dangerous returner.
- Harwell returned punts & Whitehead kicks during their respective college careers.

I think Farmer beats Street, Goodley takes Harris's spot and Whitehead makes a case for a 6th WR on the 53.

I think there is a possibility of 3 UDFA's on the 53

I cannot believe what posters think about this guy! Come on, man! Can't you see the connection here?

Farmer...one that grows crops. Randy Gregory likes his crops.

See...the Cowboys know how to fill a roster with the needs of the other players on the team. You people need to see the big picture of what the Cowboys are doing this season!

Benching unless you are not able to come back --then it is a banning. How's it going Stars

I'm actually real excited about what has taken place with this draft. This defense is going to be day and night from last season because of all the picks...and...they even gave some jobs to the big uglies on offense.

But, then again...Murray left, so the Cowboys have no chance this season and it makes me sad!
