Take it for what its worth. Seeing the high guarantee they gave him, I don't think its a stretch to think he was highly regarded. There's probably a better than fair chance a roster spotis his to lose.

That is insane. Must have been comprised from a very short list of prospects.

That would be shocking. On the other hand, I've heard a few times that the Pats only have 75 players on their entire draft board. Would be very interesting to be a fly on the wall inside a teams draft room during the draft.

I take all the post-draft "We had this guy as the 2nd best CB/WR/whatever on our board" with a big grain of salt. Most NFL clubs do it and it seems to be some sort of tactic used to make the media, fans, etc feel better about the draft.

I put as much faith in it as I do when I hear the front-office say things like they had Claiborne ranked as the best CB prospect since Deion Sanders in 1989. I assumed that was bunk at the time I heard it.... at least let's hope so.

One of the more sad "highlight" clips I have ever seen.

Then again, it probably was composed of all his touches at USC.

He is a RB or a WR? From that small clip all I saw was him catching swing passes. Nothing downfield.

I'm with you. When heard that I was like, "Whhhattt?"

Deion Sanders is a once in a generation cornerback. Claiborne is no where near in Deion Sanders league. They didn't even say that about Darrell Revis, and he's not even close to Deion as far as I'm concerned.

I know folks don't like Deion, but he was UNREAL as a cornerback.

It really is amazing how this guy didn't see the field more as the #1 WR coming out of HS. I believe we have a chance to really hit on not only him but a couple of other wr's in the UFA group. I really like this group.

That seems impossible. I can't imagine they wouldn't draft him at some point if that was true.

They obviously like him a lot considering the guarantee, but if he was the 6th WR, that would seem to make him a 2nd round type ranking.

Would you rather believe that they knew he was nothing special but traded up for him anyway?!

They remove any WRs they aren't interested in. In 2013 the 6th WR was Markus Wheaton. 3rd round grade and drafted 3rd round

Just means their board is extremely short. Probably comprised mostly of players they visited.

Looks like the Cowboys expected they could find Harris's replacement via UDFA. Signed 4 of the top UDFA receivers. Gotta admit, they've done really well with UDFA recievers: Miles Austin, Cole Beasely, Dwayne Harris.

Harris was a draft pick. 6th round if I remember correctly.

looking at where he would fit on the depth chart the spot that can get him a roster spot is if he can return punts. if you are near the bottom of the roster you have to play special teams. he has good speed and if he can be aretrn guy he could fit very well

If you were to review his game against Notre Dame this year, he looked like a third rounder with a good amount of upside. The rest of his career, he didn't show up. Granted, he played behind some very good WRs like Robert Woods, Marquise Lee and Nelson Agholor, and had to compete with another 5 star guy in Kyle Prater (who transferred to Northwestern), but due to injuries and inconsistency, he didn't stand out. He definitely has the talent.

Between Farmer and Deontay Greenberry, there are a couple of UDFA WRs that could press for a spot on the team.

Antwan Goodley too. The Cowboys did a nice job with wideouts in this UDFA crop. That's a good thing as they really need some depth there.

A few year's back they had a late 3rd/early 4th round grade on the LB Brandon McGee and ended up signing him as an UDFA. So it's possible to them to sign a highly rated player as an UDFA. But McGee had some production in college. I can't believe Farmer would have that type of grade with his lack of playing time and production.

He is a WR, not a RB. The USC coaching staff experimented with him at RB because the top 2 receivers were already entrenched and the coaches were looking for a way to get him on the field and thought it might work because of his athleticism.
