If Jerry doesn't believe he should play then you know Lance is the best option.

Just do the opposite of that colossal moron and you will field a better team.
The math checks out on that since he defiantly does the opposite of what everyone thinks he should be doing.

Him being voted into the HOF made him believe he knows what he is doing. That was one of the worse things that could have happened. He thinks he is above everyone.
Probably thought inducing Jimmy into the ROH would magically make him a good GM too..

Doesn't Jerry get it that he's the laughing stock of the league?

Mind numbingly stupid. This is the end result of unqualified people running operations they don't know anything about. Jerry never should have been anything more than a grossly, vastly, overpaid salesman for the team. He is/was really good at that part. He is disturbingly bad at player evaluation, contract negotiation, trades, keeping his mouth shut about who they might cut/sign/target in the draft, and knowing how to field a championship caliber team.

In other words, Jerry saw enough of Lance in the pre-season. :omg:

"Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy regrets not giving Trey Lance some reps late in Monday night’s 34-10 loss to the Texans. But owner Jerry Jones has no desire to see Lance start a game for the Cowboys.

“I don’t know about that,” Jones said of Lance potentially starting. “I want to give our team the very best chance it can — in all phases — to be successful. So, we’re going to go here with the quarterback that gives us the best chance to win the game.”

At this point I believe Trey Lance has move veto power than he thinks he has and should demand " Either play me or trade or release me from the Cowboys ". As bad as this team is right now, it's also the best time to play him because this version of the Cowboys is one that is battling for first couple of picks in the 2025 draft, UNLESS JERRY JONES does one of his insane GM moves to ever happen in the league and attempts to trade the Cowboy's 1st pick in the 2025 draft for some other team's project player..............and don't laugh because I could see this happening!

Fair points. Some of us recall when an excited Jerruh bought the team (he was in his mid-40s), and told reporters "I want to learn it all. From players contracts to socks and jocks....and TV contracts." I always thought of him as a salesman, more interested in cheerleaders, stadiums and TV, gate receipts than personnel. Nothing changed.

I went alot of years as a fan not fixated on blaming the owner but the last few years he's been horrendously bad in every respect except branding and wealth building.....of course in this fantasyland known as the NFL, championships and team value can be mutually exclusive

Well there ya have it, boys and girls. Our esteemed owner has spoken and appears to have put his foot down, while talking out of the side of his mouth as well

It is clear that Jerry is delusional andalso doesnt value the 4th round pick.

Then why waste a fourth round pick on him? This is just unbelievable, seriously. Dude is either senile or Clueless my guess is a little of both
Probably both. Lets waste a 4th and then not let him play when the perfect opportunity rises for him to play.

lol. I will keep saying it until he does something atypical as his own self-appointed general manager. Dude is a Mad Genius. All he needs is to make a call to ACME Products, buy himself an anvil and carry it off a short cliff.

Well that means Lance wont start. Cowboy coach Jerry calls the shots on who plays.
