I do not recall players openly being vocal about what the team should do in the off season. I do not think Booger is not going to like this.

He is used to the media and fans second guessing his moves, or lack of, but not his players.

LMAO, his wanting his players to talk to the media might backfire a little on him this time.
Jerry loves it, stephen and mcclay hate it!!

Can Washington NOT tag him for some reason?

Why would they let him walk away?

Besides, the kid will only chime in and say a draft pick could do the same job for small fraction of the cost.

Jerruh only spend dollars on offensive player. Defense comes from bargain bin and draft and Quinn’s past

Micah Parsons wants Daron Payne on the Cowboys

Posted by Mike Florio on February 11, 2023, 11:42 AM EST

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, one of our favorite in-person player-guests, joined PFT Live from Radio Row in Phoenix for a wide-ranging discussion about football generally — and about his team specifically.

When the time came to ask Parsons what he’d like to see the team do to improve in 2023, he didn’t hesitate.

Parsons wants Washington defensive tackle Daron Payne in Dallas. (In the attached photo, Parsons is perhaps making his case directly to Payne.)

Payne is due to be a free agent in March. And it’s unlikely that he’ll be available, given that the Commanders can use the franchise tag to hold him in place, if they don’t work out a long-term deal.
LOL......love it. That would be my #1 guy to pick up in FA. Apparently Parsons understands what this team needs and is lacking.

This franchise simply does NOT covet a top shelf defensive tackle. In fact, you could argue that they purposely suck at acquiring a franchise player. See the 2001 draft for an example. Lasr 1st rounder was 1991, lmao!
Osa & Gallimore are nice rotational guys and I really do like them, but Osa seems to be the only DT in a long time with real potential and even he is questionable beyond rotational.

So would a lot of Cowboys fans.

But Parsons better get used to inferior/mediocre DTs playing in front of him.
Case & point: Out of any player to lobby, Parsons probably has the best shot at helping one in, but I wouldn't bet a dime the staff actually does it. Because it's almost a certainty that Jerry will drunk mumble some nonsense excuse and then give the farm for a 2nd contract skill position. Flash!

They can't do it if Washington franchise tags him.

He'd immediately take the defense to another level, filling a need that's been neglected for so long.

And there's no chance of it happening. They won't even entertain the idea. They like their guys up front. The idiots that they are.
