That’s defintely an example but not enough to wage an argument the NFL or Goodell has it in for us.
I agree it's not enough to show the Nfl has a thing against us. But those salary cap fines alone should be enough to get Goodell out of town.

Remember when JJ said over the course of few weeks that he did not think Zeke was be suspended, and then bam, he was suspended? A lie from Roger would explain why JJ is so animated to get Roger’s attention.

It is war now.

At the time, it was reported he said there would be no punishment because he knew the lead investigator had told Goodell no punishment should be handed out.

I have no issue with replacing Goodell. He’s a puppet for the owners .

It was looking that way until Elliott continued his off field incidents while under investigation which I believe Inflamed the situation and a push to seek the suspension . And when the Panel of 4 recommended suspension .. Goodell went with it.

Was he uppity? You really don't offer much in the way of proof other than your hatred of flamboyant and uncontrolled athethetes like Michael Irvin, and your conflation of Zeke.
I really don’t need to offer any evidence . I’ve aligned myself with the NFL decision . Plus I don’t believe Elliott is innocent.

Right, so you have nothing to offer. The NFL investigator thinks that they don't have a case, as do the police departments in 2 states. You're just being a bitter dude.

Not wanting to prosecute doesn’t mean the DA thought he was innocent .

I’m tired of these athletes getting away with this type of conduct because of their talent.

If this wasn’t a star at Ohio St where it would have been extremely difficult to find a jury in Columbus to find him guilty this kid would be in jail.

Who outside of Cowboy fans really believe Elliott is totally innocent here?

The DA dropping the case doesn’t define innocence . A guilty plea or conviction is not necessary for a violation of conduct policy which without this policy in place these athletes would go totally unscathed in these incidents . And why this policy was implemented.

I understand where you are coming from. I too grow weary of spoiled athletes getting off with a simple slap on the wrist. If the NFL had simply suspended Zeke 2 or 3 games for conduct unbecoming an NFL player....I'd accept it and move on. There's enough evidence of that.

But to label him an "abuser" when there are so many questions.....She clearly lied multiple times. Does that make Zeke innocent? No. But it raises too many questions. I believe that if you are going to label someone with that serious of an allegation, you'd better have some darn good evidence.

The NFL simply doesn't.

I know you don't want to see Zeke come away "unscathed"....but what if he really didn't do it? Are you wanting someone punished for "probably" or "maybe" being guilty?

I don't.

I worked for the public defender service of DC, he wasn't charged or even arrested because the witness had no credibility. Bringing charges is usually a low hurdle to pass in a DV case, the evidence wasn't only insufficient, it looked to be largely fabricated and the NFL investigator concurred.

You could also argue that if he wasn't a star at OSU and headed for the big money in the NFL...Thompson would have never accused him of assault because she would have less motivation to 'ruin his career' as she claimed.

Also, Elliott had 6 eyewitnesses that refuted Thompson's claims...one of who was actually a friend of Thompson's, not Elliott.

Thompson was also involved in a fist fight with another girl before the incident when she claimed she was assaulted by Elliott.

That was given a sworn affidavit given by a law enforcement officer and a bouncer that had no ties to Elliott.

It's not hard to imagine that if Elliott was just a normal person and had 5 friends that eyewitnessed a false accusation, the cops would likely look into the incident where she got into a fight just before and question security if the fight happened. And then you would have 6 eyewitnesses that saw no assault and a bouncer and police officer that eyewitnessed the fist fight with the girl that would explain Thompson's bruises. And that would be enough for the DA not arrest Elliott if he was a normal person.

My argument has revolved around the NFL Policy . While I believe he’s not totally innocent I also realize it might not have been criminal but his other incidents tells me he believed he’s above the law. This makes me want to slap him down.

By your own admission you agree his other incidents are enough to land him a couple games suspension but this isn’t how the Conduct Policy is defined. I truly believe his other incidents fueled the NFL taking action which carries a minimum 6 game for DV.

So yes, I’d rather see him get 6 games than nothing. If it was possible I’d be satisfied with the 2 or 3 games you suggested.

The NFl stated he was specially suspended for Domestic violence . not personal conduct policy. Which he didn't do. And there is proof threw her own texts she was going to frame him for it. many players have done alot worst things than what Zeke did but no one cares. Dallas equal ratings which equals money.
