Steve Young was a Hall of Fame QB.

Jeff Garcia ranked among the top 10 QBs in the NFL while in San Fran.

Tony had 36 TDs last year and 26 more despite missing 3 games this year. Bad QBs can't do that.

TO has never had a bad QB...ever.

And when Garcia didn't have TO what did he rank among the QBs? How are Romo's numbers without TO? What were McNabb's numbers with TO compared to the rest of his years as QB? that is what I thought...

ROSENHAUS SAYS “SEVERAL TEAMS” ARE INTERESTED IN OWENS

Posted by Mike Florio on March 6, 2009, 8:28 a.m.

As the list of teams that have said publicly or off-the-record that they aren’t interested in receiver Terrell Owens grows, his agent claims that “several teams” would like to acquire the player’s services.

“These are several teams that are interested in signing Terrell,” Drew Rosenhaus told us Friday morning. “I have been in negotiations with these teams. I will not identify these teams at this time.”

So how quickly will this process unfold?

“Terrell and I expect to have a deal in place by the end of next week if not sooner,” Rosenhaus said.

A total of sixteen teams (and counting) appear on our Anti-T.O. List, reflecting the teams that publicly or privately have said that they won’t be pursuing the free agent.

In our view, possible destinations include the Broncos, the Raiders, and maybe even the Colts.

But we’ve got a feeling that, if Owens lands anywhere, it could be with a team that no one expected to be in the running.

And we also don’t rule out the possibility that the team that ultimately gets him will be a team that initially said “no thanks,” since such an approach might be the best way to soften his salary expectations.

As usual, Drew is embellishing... Drew says several, chances are it's 2 or 3. Bottom line. Someone will pickup that production and he will play this year.

Perhaps the stat folks can help me out with this one.. If he signs with another team this year does he get that salary and the 9 mil or so we have to pay him?

yea. how silly. it's almost like being bad enough to defend a player who just got kicked off his 3rd team.

fine. remain bitter if you want.

just cause a coach or two is willing to take a chance on TO doesn't mean TO doesn't have his baggage that have kicked him out of 3 teams now.

when, then tell me, is it his own fault?

But that same team that kicked him out is making a play for him? Why would they do that if they were free of blame? What did TO do with the Cowboys that was in any way equivalent to what he did in Philly and the 49ers anyways?

I bet Romo will still throw over 30 TDs next year without this paragon of excellence.

I think Peyton is salivating at the prospect of throwing to TO... OFTEN.

Peyton is a dedicated student to his position. He will view TO in that light at HIS position.

It's none of your business when I choose to get over it. 30 teams not pursuing him may mean many possible things, including they don't have a need for him. If ware was on the market, it doesn't mean every team is going to pursue him, just like Haynesworth was on the marke and not every team pursued him.

And, further it is not even my point that there are 2 teams in the NFL that want him. The two teams are one that supposedly has an axe to grind with him, the 49ers who were allegedly spurred by TO and a team led by Jeff Fisher who is as authoritative and well-respected in the league as Bill Parcells.

Singletary would eat owens alive

I have never heard or read where Fisher has said such a thing. That I will believe when I hear it.

your conveniently avoiding the point, and that is, what has Garcia done without TO? He isn't a great QB. His best numbers were with TO. What about McNabb? What year was McNabb's best numbers? Let us not take into account the fact that year was when TO missed a game and McNabb did as well. Even when it comes to Romo, there is no evidence that Romo will be a better QB without him. The numbers prove the opposite. He can, but the numbers don't bear it yet. If he does, great for the Cowboys.

You make it seem like TO has a HoF career only because of the QBs as if TO does't make QBs better. That is a farce, plain and simple.

The point was and is, TO Has always played with GOOD Quarterbacks. He has never had to play with a bad one. 3 of the 4 guys he played with could end up in the Hall of Fame.

Bottom line, Rosenhuas said just a few weeks ago that owens would remain a Cowboy. He was full of it then and he's full of it now.

And again, your point is? Jerry Rice played with HoF QBs thoughout his career. I guess we don't know how great he was. Michael Irvin wouldn't have been HoF playing with Steve Walsh throughout his career.

Again, what happened to these QBs numbers with TO in the line-up?

49ers GM doesn't rule out a T.O. return

Daniel Brown of the San Jose Mercury News reports 49ers General Manager Scot McCloughan left the door open — if just a crack — for the 49ers to pursue wide receiver Terrell Owens.

McCloughan did not rule out signing receiver Terrell Owens, who was released by the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.

During an interview on KNBR radio, McCloughan initially gave a vague answer about Owens by explaining that the 49ers evaluate every free agent on the market.

Brian Murphy, co-host of the "Murph & Mac" morning show, pressed the issue by saying, "So official statement from the 49ers: 'Not closing the door?'"

"Correct," McCloughan said.

Not gonna lie, I would love to see him go back to SF
