What is your point about the Cowboys not being the same team as 10 years ago? Of course I'm angry, considering I'm a Cowboys fan and believe this just sets them back, while the real onus of the pathetic offense lies on Garrett.

Bottom line, Rosenhuas said just a few weeks ago that owens would remain a Cowboy. He was full of it then and he's full of it now.

And I think that is ultimately the reason he got release, i.e. the bonus that was going to be due, and so did Roy. We have no safety better than Roy, plus he helps special teams. Keith Davis is nowhere near Roy in terms of being a safety. He is way more a liability in coverage than Roy. Jerry needs the money to extend Ware and the new stadium has probably put financial strain on him.

I think it has to do with economics, and Jerry can't afford to go into the new stadium with all the negativity he has been getting, especially after the Dan reeves debacle. He had to call a local radio staton himself to defend his move.

Its interesting that the cap charge from cutting him is only $1 million more than if he had stayed on the roster. No-brainer. Well, it was anyway.
