Joseph?

I would do that trade.

I doubt it. Their CB depth is shaky. Look at their 2-Deep..

..I can't figure out who it could have been. Laveranues Coles or Chris Henry maybe? LB Rashad Jeanty just lost his job to Rey Maualuga but he wouldn't play over Bradie or Brooking. They just lost their best pass rusher Antwan Odom so I doubt it's a defensive lineman.

Romo is sitting middle of the league right now graded against NFL starters....
He has also faced the top 2 pass defenses in the NFL to date.
He has face 1, 2, 7, 11 in the 5 games he has played. He has not yet faced a defense that is ranked in the bottom 7.

SO... he grades right now as average against far above average pass defenses.

Let's see where he ranks after the next two weeks as he faces pass defenses both ranked below 15.

The coaches in Dallas have shown no ability to judge talent or use them properly. Jones, Austin, Williams, Williams, being good examples.

Should it have taken a fluke injury from Roy Williams to finally see what I and many others have seen from Austin to finally get him more PT?

Should it take an injury from Barber to find our what Choice and Jones bring?

Is it going to take a Witten injury to finally decide to use Bennett more?

Jones gave Owens and Williams huge contracts despite the fact Owens was a cancer and Roy Williams couldn't cover any TE in the league.

On film most of the time he is blocking, he may be one of the best in the NFL.

Obviously someone in the Bengals organization sees even bigger things for Martellus Bennett.

True. I don't have a clue who they would want from the Bengals. Chris Henry for Martellus is dumb but then again it's Jerry..

I thought Maualuga too but they love him and I don't know if he would start over Brooking like you said and he isn't a nickel LBer..so.....

Andre Smith maybe!!? But he just signed a huge contract

ahhhh I don't know! I think the whole thing is BS.

This is a very broad and harsh complain so let's investigate.

Jones, Austin, Williams, Williams, being good examples.

Guess by Jones you mean Felix. If that's the case the argument really applies to what one game his rookie season where he was taken out of the game plan against Washington?? Certainly Felix is a big part of game plans nowadays when he is healthy enough to play and his contributions have been strong.

Austin? See above. Miles has been given chances in parts of three different seasons but he struggles to stay healthy. Jerry Jones claimed Austin was the play-making equivalent of T.O. this off-season. Unfortunately Austin was hurt 2 weeks into practice thus lost a chance to start week 1. He also had a couple route issues and drops early in the year. with 15 targets he broke out in a major way. Good for him and us, hopefully he can stay healthy and get firmly on the same page with Romo.

Roy Williams31? the guy is starting and playing well in Cincy. Don't be shocked if he actually makes another Pro Bowl. Roy got his money before a lot of rules were put into play that minimalized his intimidation of WRs. Wrs used to tip toe when he was at Safety but now they can't really be hit most times. Our system changed after he got paid and he really struggled in it. The team cut him when it was financially viable.

RW11: Not sure what to say here. The guy has been a valuable player this year. He has ordinary production as a receiver but has been a heck of a blocker and isn't flubbing opportunities. Most of the team's best runs have seen the ball carrier scoot past RW11 on the outside.

Choice: Choice still can not block very well in the passing game. As good as he looks as a runner his pass protection is abysmal. That is usually what keeps young backs butts on benches.

If I was going to argue Dallas couldn't recognize or develop talent I'd want to see players who really blew up elsewhere that failed here. Maybe Jimmy Smith type guys.... Hard to find many recent examples.

i dont know how true it is......i personally doubt its true..i think he said Marty B and a 1st or 2nd for Ocho

I am glad Jerry didn't pull the trigger if true....I told my friend i believe he would be a cancer, and would slow Down Austins progression, i said the only way it could possibly work if we threw Roy in the trade, because with Austin, Roy, Ocho, and Witten...thats too many people to keep happy with 1 football

and Roy is already acting childish

Maualuga would have to play the MIKE (SILB), not the JACK (Brooking's WILB position). Besides, Brooking has been one of the standouts on D, doubtful Cowboys were looking to replace him. And replacing James w/Maualuga would be an upgrade IMO, but likely not in the short term.

Cowboys' "now impact" position needs: FS, SOLB

Losing Bennett would have really impacted Cowboys' run game (only consistent part of the offense), can see why there was no trade.

Don't agree here. Felix was supposedly drafted to compliment Barber. Besides the zero carry game against Washington he also had two separate games when he only carried the ball 3 times. In all he only had 30 attempts in 6 games.

This for a guy averaging 8.9 yards a carry last season and who scored 3 tds in those 30 attempts. His lack of use before he got hurt was borderline criminal.

Choice: Choice still can not block very well in the passing game. As good as he looks as a runner his pass protection is abysmal. That is usually what keeps young backs butts on benches.

Are we really going to continue to take the word of some bloggers intern as gospel on this? Choice's blocking is fine, no one's remotely brought up a problem with CHoices pass blocking through two seasons until someone decided they had to defend the coaches for not playing him over a hurt Barber.

Where did your friend hear this?

And I agree. Getting Ocho for Martellus and a 2nd would be epic epic fail. If anything we should get Ocho AND a 2nd for Martellus.

Why in the world would you cut TO then run out and trade for Ocho? Do we just miss crazy that much?

Did I say I wanted Ocho? I said it would be epic fail.

I just stated that if it WERE to go down we should get a 2nd along with Ocho.

Sorry, I quoted you but the question was more rhetorical, not aimed at you.
