There isn't, Dak is just an average QB.
Ha . you are unbelievable.
Hmmmm...gee ....i wonder what it could be????
14 penalties vs raiders- no ceedee or Amari....still almost 400 yards and sent game into OT late. 106 rating. Higher than Carrs btw. You have a strange definition of inept.
Arizona- 10 "Pelaties"- 3Tds 105.8 rating. Higher than Kyler's btw
SF- 14 "Pelaties". Hard to sustain any offense when that happens...as I have gone over ad nauseum....Dak had no help on this day.
Chiefs- Surprisingly only 6 penalties...we got shut down. It happens.
Bucs- 10 penalties. Not a good game for Dak but again ...not much help.
So ya...you really got him...not allowed to have any bad games and good games are discounted....unless you are a long haired young qb...then those are "OMGz"
There’s another angle to spin those stats as well.TB 3 points (Dallas losing 19-3 to start the 4th quarter)
SF 17 points (Dallas losing 23-7 to start the 4th quarter)
LV 33 points (Dallas losing 27-19 to start the 4th quarter)
ARI 22 points (Dallas losing 22-7 to start the 4th quarter)
KC 9 points (Dallas losing 19-6 to start the 4th quarter)
Dak in those games: 121 of 200 60.5% Comp % 1,205 yards 6 td's 4 int's
The Dak led offense was behind by an average of 13.6 points to start the 4th quarter in those 5 games referenced. This has become a trend with Dak where he does nothing for 3 quarters before starting to rack up stats and make games closer than what they really were/are.
There isn't, Dak is just an average QB.
Yea, that’s been a stigma for Dak getting off to slow starts especially against stiffer competition. Good news is by the 4th qtr he usually gets going while unfortunately coming up short many times.I don't put all the blame on Dak, but the Cowboys have set a pattern dating back to 2019 of slow starts or no starts in certain games. Even if they make it close in some games, that pattern is still there.
It’s difficult measuring one game . I think we’ll get a clearer picture over several games coming up.Phil is definitely wrong!
Their salaries are WAY different.
seriously though, judging by the last game…there certainly didn’t look like there was much difference between their play, except Cooper looked more decisive and had more zip on throws…lol

And if Rush is indeed close to Dak then we are going to have some incredible trade bait coming up in offseason.
Rush is going to have many teams pursuing him. Something they certainly didn’t see in preseason or up until now .
That’s not how most of the league would evaluate our QB situation. Which is more in the middle to upper half of starting QB’s . The players even rank him top 100 of players in the league.i don’t expect that at all…I think Rush looks decent because we are near the Quincy Carter years at QB

It is a 4 quarter game . I suppose he could get off to faster starts and then choke or throw it away in the end like Romo used to. A loss is a loss . A win is a win.
In the end we measure stats per game not by the quarters . And Dak has a knack in most of these slow starts to making a run late in the game to make it more interesting.

I think that is a pretty fair assessment. I'm not a "true believer", but with the QB's now in the league I think he falls somewhere in that area as well. That’s not how most of the league would evaluate our QB situation. Which is more in the middle to upper half of starting QB’s . The players even rank him top 100 of players in the league.
Most of the criticism I’ve heard discounting all of the accolades is from very frustrated Cowboy fans , much like we had with Romo, and opposing fans simply trolling.
If Dak is no more than Rush then much of the league has overvalued him not just our front office and coaching staff.
Most likely he falls more in the 10th - 15th ranking in the league which is more in the middle where I think most fans are , not where the very vocal extremes claim.
I think so too. Dak is close to Rush. Wont be a big dropoff when he comes back.
Uhhh, it's not only Dak. It's the whole Offense. Why? BECAUSE OF THE OLINE.
Fix the Oline, and we will see Dak, Zeke and everyone else on Offense play much better.
There’s another angle to spin those stats as well.
You could say that despite being dominated and ineffective for 3 quarters against tougher competition and or playoff caliber teams , Dak was able to come back and make a game of it in 4th qtr. Just saying…
Did you forget when Tyron Smith got injured and Chaz Green had to come in at Left Tackle? Remember the debacle at the Atlanta Falcons? Or did you forget? 9-7 is still a winning season record. It's not like the Cowboys finished 6-10 or worse. The 2017 OL was a top rated OL so what is Dak's excuse then for finishing 9-7?
