Game Day Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys Postgame

The Cowboys have already beaten the 1 and the 2 and scored 40 points against both of them.

This is true, and I don't think there's any reason to believe we can't do it again. I don't believe we will simply because I'm not going to believe we'll win a playoff game until we do (can't take the expectations letdown), but that doesn't mean we can't.

Hurts would have broken our heart by effectively running the ball. Dude is hard to stop.
Maybe when Hurts plays our DEs will play more controlled to make him throw from the pocket or scramble the middle. It was infuriating how many big passes Minshew completed outside the pocket when Parsons and others rushed inside. He had a clear path all the time.

I'm just trying to imagine a world where this team is firing on all cylinders at the same time. They would be unstoppable. They are their own toughest opponent.

I think that they have a good shot at things lining up well for them after the game on Thursday. I feel a lot better about where are team is today. I wouldn't want to be Philly with their key injuries mounting.

We've got some pretty good injuries to overcome ourselves, but thankfully we didn't add any in this one.

The Eagles have a much bigger issue at right tackle.

Than us? That's true if Johnson's injury is serious because not many teams have a future Hall-of-Famer to step in. But they've got a pretty good line overall. Don't know much about their backups ... but they didn't seem to have a major problem with us with Johnson on the sideline.

And we've had much more health problems on defense than they have, when defense is what was winning us games. Now, with those injuries, we're having to rely on our offense much more.

The mission has been put on this team to score 40 pts./game to have a chance to win. No recipe for success, for sure. The sub-20 "D" has dissolved in a mist of injury.

I missed most of the game. What was our starting o-line?

Tyler Smith-McGovern-Biadasz-Martin-Tyron Smith.

I think Tyron took all the snaps at right tackle in this one. We only played Peters when we went heavy, I believe.

No they did not but turned the ball over many times ,

Yeah, the broadcasters pointed out the fact that they did not punt. They did not mention the turnovers as being a factor in that ... although the way our defense was playing, the Eagles might not have had to punt even without the turnovers. We only seemed to stop them when we took the ball away.

Dallas overcame 10 point deficits twice and 7 point deficit late to win against a real good defence. If the offence would get out of its own way and stop making poor decisions we will be dangerous in the playoffs…

This was a solid win. Why not enjoy the hell out of it and wait to see what happens next. Some smart guy once said "On any given Sunday"
