I still do not quite understand the mindset in this post. If you feel good that the team has made progress that means you are satisfied? Frankly I don't know anyone who is satisfied with just winning a playoff game I'm pretty sure everyone here wants to see the Cowboys win their 6th championship and I think that is what this franchise is working hard to accomplish that goal.

What are suppose to do is throw temper tantrums and expect the team make knee jerk moves after a loss because somehow that will make us better?

Sorry I'm not a 5 year old kid who is going to throw a fit anytime things do not go exactly the way I would like.

What do I mean by this, easy...

When did we become "happy" with just making the playoffs and winning one game? When did winning games in December become our "goal?"

Think about it? Say what you want but this team is not 100% perfect and for those of you to bash people who want moves to be made makes me wonder what happened to the feeling that we want championships in this town?

That's it. Blast me if you want, but how many of you were happy with last year? I certainly wasn't. As I've said before...If you are keep wearing your "we got five" rings t-shirt around and watch Pittsburgh fans laugh in your face.

God knows I hate giving Philly ANY credit. Hell, the last thing of any value to ever come out of that city happened in 1776. But, at least they were not "happy" with just making the playoffs and winning a few games. They wanted rings!!! (Glad they didn't get any, but that is something entirely different). They ran a QB out of town that lead them to 5 championship games. Sadly I think that today's Cowboy fans, in that big nice stadium of ours, would think that's just fine...

Damn how I long for the days when Super Bowls only mattered...

So go ahead and blast me, but like I said. Look around at our house first.

I guess you didn't like seeing the improvement, didn't like seeing all of us being so happy that we finished the season strong instead of tailing off...

I find Coach's condescension particularly annoying because I know he hasn't been a Cowboys fan as long as I have... that would be impossible, since I've been on the bandwagon since day one, way back in 1960.... so I've been through at least as much as he has, and probably more... I've lived through both glory days, so yeah, I've got a powerful thirst for another Lombardi...

But it's beyond ignorant to say that the only seasons that can be considered successful are seasons in which you win the Super Bowl... we took strides back to being a contender last year, and that counts for something...

In my opinion (and you are certainly welcome to disagree) I feel that there is. I never remember growing up and hearing Dallas was satisfied with going in the right direction.

I do... I remember the excitement when, in 1966, they finally posted their first winning record... I also remember when, in 1991, just 2 seasons after going 1-15, we went 11-5...

Seems your selective memory is pretty freakin' short term...

That seems to be the case now. Look back at the posts during the playoff run and you will see a sense of contentment that I never thought would be acceptable here. We can sugar coat it by saying we are making progress, but there aren't any rings for that. It used to be Super Bowl or bust. Now it's hey, "we're taking steps in the right direction."

Really, exactly who the hell are you to tell us what we should find satisfying?? Real football fans know that Super Bowl contenders are built over a period of time, they don't just suddenly appear...

The fact you don't recognize that only tells me you really don't know jack about football...

The correlation is one of the reasons (if not the main one) to letting mcnabb go was not being able to take it to the next level. eagles fans (don't make me keep defedning these guys please) were routinely frustrated with that. 10 win, 11 win seasons and no rings was not good enough.
