The Chargers look eerily like the Cowboys of years past... great stats, but ends up in a loss

There's a reason a Kellen Moore led offense is 0-2. Their players need to have a player's only meeting to talk about overcoming the handicap of having Moore's lack of football IQ ***, and winning games despite of him like we had to at times.

Yup, a few were predicting KM + Chargers + their "Real" QB would show how stupid we were to get rid of KM.
Uh, like you said.........KM is 0-2, MM is 2-0. :star:

Shows the difference between having a coach who an owner thinks is a genius vs a coach who has the experience to know how to play an opponent and scheme against them.

Redzone and a little boring at times but eventually maybe he'll open it up a bit. It was still good enough to get 50. If we had scored in the redzone. So........hopefully it gets better in that aspect.

Btw, we were missing Cooks today. So, we were missing a guard (Tyler Smith) and Cooks coming into this game. We also have a crew players who are yet to debut this season. I'm excited for when we are at full strength.

So refreshing! Gotta luv it!
MM has downsized the offense to the capabilities of the players he has available.
Will it work forever?
NO.......as DC watches the films and makes the necessary adjustments pre-game.
Overall MM is doing the right thing here by dumbing it down as if a rookie is our starting QB.

No, he has not.

He has installed a West Coast, Bill Walsh style system. It's designed to fit the players and maximize their upsides not shove them into a system that didn't fit. It's not downsizing, it's a different philosophy.

It's different from the Air Coryell concept that Norv Turner/Ernie Zampese brought to Dallas and was largely stuck with for guys like Aikman and Romo that were suited to it.

Garrett and Moore are stated, confirmed Coryell followers.

Walsh's offense isn't dumb, downsized or ineffective. Ask Joe Montana, Steve Young, and John Elway that all ran the same or did Walsh/Shanahan have to create a dumb offense for them too? If so I'm fine with it. Those guys had a lot of Lombardi's running that system.

Maybe, but I think MM knew it was the right strategy for this game.
Bro. It was a win. He is figuring it out. Dak made a great pass to Lamb and he made a big play and fumbles, thankfully Biadazz scoops it up. And Dak made a bad pass in the red zone to a wide open player.. We need to improve in the ref zone but jets have a good defense.

That's my point. Mike has done a great job. I'm not worried about our coaching anymore.

No, you said it was downsized. It's not a downsized offense, it's a different philosophy. There was an implication that the Walsh style system was somehow inferior to the Coryell style. If that was not what you intended I apologize.

It's an effective system. Again, this us a system that was used for guys like Montana Young and Elway. I'm not putting Prescott in that rarefied air but those guys were ALL great QB's and wouldn't have done as well in Coryell, Air Raid, Run n' Shoot ect.

Elway is a great example. When Shanahan put him in the WCO all the guy did was win a couple of Super Bowls.
