I think it's easy to forget how gut wrenching that last game of the year is unless you win the Super Bowl. Emotions will run high and the body of work that is Wade will doom him shortly after the season.

I do not think he can. He has not been offered and extension and I doubt he will be. Maybe a Super Bowl win erases that, but I don't see us winning the Super Bowl.

an we have a winner

If Wade gets us to the NFC Title game or better then yes he should return.

Jerry parted ways with Jimmy after the SB but Wade's a different personality and I think Jerry keeps him.

I think that if Jerry doesn't exercise the option in Wades' contract before the end of the regular season Jerry has no intention to bring Wade back. Now if Wade were to win a championship that would obviously change.I'm just thinking that a good record/playoff victory won't be enough to save Wade alone, look at what San Diego did to Marty. What was Marty's record the year he was fired?

Honestly I was thinking about this today. I think he can. But goodness is it good for the Cowboys? With Shanahan, Cowher, Holmgrem, etc. out there? I guess the argument is yes it is because if he saves his job that means the Cowboys had a GREAT year. I think it takes more than just winning 1 playoff game. He may have to get to the NFC Title game. I'm rooting for Wade. I hate the criticism he gets here but hey he's gotta win. This team wins two playoff games? He's definately coming back.

What is the alternative to Wade? I'm not sure if the replacement is any better unless its the caliber of Cowher or Shanahan. And maybe even Jeff Fisher if this is his last year in 10.

You are right, I can not see Wade saving his job, then the question would be who does Jerry have in mind to coach the team next?

Is Garrett indeed in the family portrait or is a proven retread the answer for Jones, only time will tell but I do think Wade is a goner regardless.

There is nothing to save. He may survive it through the season. Thats all.

IF we were to win the SB then you would see a Vermeil/Martz type of deal.

Wade wins. Retires.
Garrett takes over as HC.

Ala Vermeil and Martz.

Win a playoff game and this team is heading in the right direction for the first time in a real long time.

You have to look at it from Jerry's perspective. Jerry seems very comfortable with Wade at the helm.

I think Wade returns if the Cowboys win at least 1 playoff game. Probably re-signed to a 1 year extension.

I have no doubt Wade can save his job by winning. I think many fans may dislike Wade I don't think Jerry feels the same and if Wade can get this team winning in big games I think that is what is important to Jerry.

I have mixed emotions here, I felt Wade was the right hire to succeed Bill but for obvious reasons I have soured on that the last two years, hoping that his first year was not this teams window of opportunity. With that being said I personally feel if Wade can get this team to win 1 playoff game an entire organizational monkey will be lifted off this team and anything can happen at that point. I was telling my brother after watching the game this past weekend I felt the best I have since they dismantled the packers in a big game in Wades first year. Now I hope that will not be the only game we can stand up as proud boyz fans this year. The season is half way over and they did not secure a thing with that win on Sunday. If they continue with this momentum who knows...Jerry in most cases rewards winners....I think if he can get Jerry a long overdue playoff win JJ will have a tough decision on his hands based on who is out there and how he views Wade winning when it matters most. If Wade does not succeed though, unlike, Hostile, I do not see JJ giving the reigns to Red especially if Fisher is out there.

If he takes the team to the Super Bowl, yes, he will survive like Gloria Gaynor.

Anything short of going DEEP into the playoffs will doom him.
I think he's doomed already.

Im not saying we will win the Super Bowl, but even when you said this team is Mediocre, and norm said we werent that talented I disagreed. We make stupid mistakes thats (mainly false starts and offsides). I think the only team that is just clearly better than us is the colts. I think we are better than the Giants (been arguing they were overrated before they lost) better than the broncos, better than the cardinals, and as good as the vikings, and ravens eagles, pats and steelers.

Romo isnt turning the ball over in bunches (the one game he did we barely lost) and the other game he did was at an inopportune time. The defense is picking it up, just like they did last year. I dont think wade is the problem.

I dont know why wade is blamed. He has no say so over offense, and even while being hamstrung this team is not in total disarray. Wade gets unfairly blamed.

Wade does have say over the offense, Garrett is the OC he is not the HC and Wade has said he does have input into it. Again there is perception and reality and Wade I feel is being unfairly portrayed. I also have no doubt if this team wins and goes deep into the playoffs Jerry will keep him. Jerry wants to win and that is the bottom line and if Wade can get him that he will stay
