Dez also needs to sit next to Cassel on the bench

I can give Dez a pass because he almost never drops passes and this was by far the worst game I've ever seen him play. Cassel has just been awful and hasn't played well, week-after-week.

He can change the play if he wants to. He's a vet.
He is part of the problem in execution.
Ok, he can't help with the drops. Dez....you are embarrassing us.
Scheme. Some of it. But when you throw (wait......attempts) a 5 yard out when it's 4th and 17....it's all you.

Our WRs aren't getting open

We would be in the driver seat if we had Hoyer, cant believe they thought Weeden could play, that mistake doomed us before the season even started.

He also doesn't even see Dez (yes, Dez had the worst game I've ever seen him play today) when Dez is open.

I think we are seeing that 'winning in the trenches' just doesn't automatically equate to winning games and it's far from it. The D-Line could have done a better job on Lacy, but the O-Line was most excellent today and the D-Line did a nice job on Rodgers. And we didn't even come close to winning because we have no secondary and no passing game. Cassel had all day to throw and just wasn't even close.

OL did great. The sacks I saw was on RB and Cassel. They gave him more than enough time.

DL didn't do too shabby either. I think they were just worn out toward the end. They were probably frustrated by the "offensive" offense we run.

Cassel is a QB thats needs confidence and trust....he needs time to understand the system he is in and learn to trust his WRs.....We have to remember he was thrown into the mess of a team at Mid Season.....had no off season or training camp to learn the offense or gain in chemistry with the WRs....Then you have TWIL jacking up routs and plays a few games ago for INTs.....now he tries to get Dez involved and Dez flat out lays an egg....his confidence is shot....and thats what happens to QB you trade for mid season...its a complicated proces and to expect a guy to walk in and run the system to a high level is a bit of extreme thinking

So the Cowboys have an another QB that is still learning the offense and trying to trust his WRs but getting burned in the process.
Cant blame the QB,,,, he may not be the best but he got thrown into this mess.....not by choice but a forced trade......this proves the offensive process is broken .....and the coaches scheme is out dated

I can't see him as a scheme fit at all.

He's got a noodle arm. Like a left handed Ken Dorsey.

Everything we do is so long, drawn out, and downfield.

Well if that's the case then maybe we should adjust the system to fit a player's strengths. Just a thought. You know when one player goes down and the "next man up' has different skills (or lack of skills) then it's obvious to make small adjustments to the system to put the players in the best chance to succeed. isn't it?????

The two longest pass completions for Dallas today were 19 yards and 12 yards... I'm sure he can throw 20+....lol...
just having a laugh..... it hides the tears of disappointment.

The other side of the coin is how much worse can Moore look?

At this point the season is toast so why not try the youngster?

In all honesty and not trying to be funny or mean. But at this point would Kellen Moore be any worse than what Cassell was today? I say throw the kid in there and let him play.

The Cassell Experiment is over. Cassell is playing like a 4th string practice squad player. It would be far less frustrating to watch the actual 4th string practice squad player than waste any more snaps on Cassell.

What's the worst that Moore can do? Lose? Lead a pitiful passing attack?

That's already happening with Cassel. Worst case we get a top 5 pick anyway, best case we have a future viable backup.

I see very little downside to playing Moore at this point.

I agree and also I see no upside for our franchise to continue playing Cassell at this point. We know exactly what Cassell can do, or can't do, when the real games are going. I will be far more frustrated losing with Cassell than losing with Moore. Playing Cassel now would be taking developmental snaps away from Moore.

Given the reality of the situation this team is in, I just have to laugh that this is at the top of the board for discussion.

I will just blame it on Floaty.
