Apologies to glorydaysrback but I'd like to see an actual poll on some issues related to TO.

Should he be released or retained? That's it for this one.

Will a mod please delete this thread. I hit the enter key accidently without posting the poll and now can't change it. Senility.

No, it is simply not feasible Cap-wise to release him.

If money weren't an issue, then I would cut him.

Also, Jerry Jones will still be the General Manager and Wade Phillips will still be Head Coach, so whether Terrell Owens goes or stays doesn't matter.

Keep him for the simple reason that we dont have a equal replacement.

Roy11 has shown me JACK, I am not willing to make him the #1 off last year's performance and no other receiver on the team is of TO's caliber.

.

I don't know if I believe that because the source of that was Jerry who is obviously lobbying to keep him.

I believe the sources who say Stephen wants him gone (Stephen might even be the source) and if he wants him gone, they can manage the financial part of it.

I feel just the opposite.

I think Roy will continue to be a screw-off as long as Owens is around leading the circus.

Clear Owens out, sit down with Roy and tell him the sky is the limit ... you have the opportunity to be the man here in your home state ... don't blow it.

Maybe they could get Mac Brown to come to talk to him or something.

Mac could tell him that he is embarrasing the University with his sorry-arse play.......giving UT a bad rep.

I thought someone on here crunched the numbers and the Cowboys would take about $5M hit if Terrell Owens were cut?

I don't know about Stephen Jones being the source. Would he undermine his father like that?

Terrell Owens is just an extreme figure. He seems to bring out the best and worst in quite a few people.

It will cost us $6 million to keep and $6.6 million to cut. So you cut him you lose the six and get no play from him. You also cut the anchor lose. I've attacked Werder for sensationalistic "journalism" but only a total homer won't refute he's creating some problems. I have no idea how much but if he's unable to work with Garrett and he stays then TO has to go. It's that simple. O/W the season will be very
difficult. Can people who don't like each other work with the other. Sure. But with the media constantly trying to stir the pot it will be very difficult for everyone.

All the offense has to do is score 25+ points a game. With or without him.

As I post this, the poll stands at 10-10.

So tell me again how Owens is not a divisive influence.

How much is the question? Too much or just some internally? It's the players and coaches that matter. Not us but this poll will be interesting.

The cap hit is less than a million.

The question is would you rather pay a guy $9 million to play or pay $9 million to go away.

While I think TO gave an honest effort to make it work, he's just incapable of containing himself. No one else can either.

Be gone.

Not a fan of this WR corps in general.

Cut him, he is a distraction and I believe it is the only way to get Romo back on track.

Yes TO is good, but at what cost to the team, and team is what it is all about.
