Pretty much…at this point gives you close to 0% chance of an explosive play.
There is more to the NFL than explosive plays. The bread and butter grinding plays are what allows explosive plays to happen.

I don't understand why that's important.

well probably because he leads Zeke in virtually every statistical category beyond blocking. that being said I dont care as long as we get both. They need to just ride whoever is hot

Disagree. EZ and Polly are polar opposite players that do entirely different things for your O.

No, they're both halfbacks whose main purpose is to the run ball for as many yards as possible. One gives you a better chance to do that over the other.

And that's because he doesn't have to run the ball 25 times a game.

Gawdamighty, how in the world are people still falling for the speed RB thingie?

Because I hate Zeke and I need him to be benched to find fulfilment in my life.

How did I do?
Thats an extreme side of things (cowboy roy) thats not most of us. Id like a 60/40 split the 60 going to whoever is hot. For example when we are playing a team like Tampa and Washington and san fran then i see the need for power over speed they have a great front 4. There are other times when pollards speed is better. Theres no way zeke makes at least 1 of those runs pollard did last week. and btw pollard is no wuss he can move the pile. He just cant move it 20 times a game

We always want to play with the shinier toys.. And when those don't shine any more we go find newer, shinier toys. It is what it is man.. I prefer to focus on what gives this team the best chance to go far in the playoffs. And history has shown that the steady chain mover is far more likely to do that than the "splash play" guy. Like I said a couple of weeks ago.. Franco Harris, Marcus Allen and Emmitt Smith played in more playoff games than Gale Sayers, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson, Bo Jackson, OJ Simpson, Eric Dickerson and pretty much any 5 "explosive" running backs you want to list. The only exception I can think of was Marshall Faulk.. but Marshall, while a home run threat most of his career, was no slouch at the bell cow totes either. He was a tough all around football player. In a lot of ways he was a slightly faster version of Walter Payton really.

So, to further Skip Pete’s analogy comparing Pollard to a sports car, Zeke would then be a barely running jalopy that you purchased for the price of a Maybach.
