jones boys probably are already writing up a low ball offer , he can take or leave.
Thing is they paid elliot so much, I dont see how they can pay/keep pollard except with tag, and even that will cost more than
they will want to pay.
for some reason jerry loves elliot, so say goodbye to pollard.
We can't stop the guaranteed money but we don't have to use him in the playoffs much either.

Just use Pollard except maybe near the goal line and we got a better shot because like I said last year Zeke is D.O.N.E

Ya put him behind an avg oline and he's a 2.5- 3 ypc guy.

Y'all saw what he did w our oline and in the playoff last year

Wake up He's as slow as molasses and is all hype.

Let's see what Davis can do.

He hits a hole and he's more explosive too. Y'all have seen those glimpses

Pollard won’t be getting a huge money deal from anyone. He’s not an every down back, he’s a role player who will split carries with another back regardless the team he plays for. He’ll certainly be in line for more money than he’s making now, but he won’t be getting some mega deal.
He is the best all purpose back in football. Doesn't he have a shot at having the best yards per carry for a career?

By all means, take your attitude into the contract negotiation. You're asking a guy to take less money. If your ego and hurt feeling prevent you from using tact and a strategy which might get you what you want, then you ain't the GM for this team. And if your reflex to that comment is you can just go get another RB in the draft, tell me who that is that gets the tough yards you see Zeke get. Players are not parts you can just go get at the Checker Auto store.

Tagging Pollard will probably be the answer.

I will assume you have not read the comments by Micah and the punishment he takes as an edge rusher. Which means you also don't understand why they spell him occasionally. Or you can waste this generational player by allowing him to get beat up throughout every game. Because of his reputation as a rusher, the opponents are doing everything they can to put a hat on a hat, and something three on one. If that means nothing to you, I'll adjust my thinking toward your positions in the future. But for now, I'll listen to Parsons on how he is faring physically, thanks.

Put them in dollar context. I ain't your boy. I don't give a rat's rectum what they get paid. I do not understand why "fans" get bent out of shape because a guy make a hefty salary.
They get bent out of shape because they are jealous and ignorant.

He'd prolly be leading the league in yards and tds if we scaled back Zeke more

This oline is top 3 at run blocking

DeMarco Murray had almost 2400 scrimmage yards and 13 TDs in 2014 and he was only 26 but the Cowboys didn’t want to pay him big money. Although Zeke has been a good player, the Cowboys got screwed on his deal. Don’t get me wrong I want Tony Pollard back but I’m not sure he can command the kind of money you’re talking about. Derrick Henry is making $12.5 million and Tony Pollard isn’t nearly the player Henry is. The backs that are making that kind of money are carrying a lot of the load. The Cowboys will have a dilemma on their hands because Pollard is the most explosive offensive weapon they have. Free agency gets crazy and some team may open the vault for Pollard, but they’ll use him as their primary back and he may not be as effective as he was with the Cowboys. DeMarco Murray was never as good once he left Dallas.
Murray had an injury history at OU and in he pros. Pollard hasn't gotten hurt yet. He will get hurt at some point, but he hasn't yet.

great player, but he's playing a position that kills your body within a few years while also being a role anybody can fill and be adequate. obviously if money was no issue you keep him. look how zeke went from top 3 to top 15 within a year and a half.

Even if you got rid of Zeke (which they won't), they're not going to turn around and give Pollard a Zeke type contract. Pollard is a fan favorite, but that has nothing to do with business.

Stop comparing to Zeke and start looking around NFL at other players. McCaffrey, is already paid. Deebo, is already paid. Pollard and Saquon, will be dealing with precarious contract negotiations.

You have the 2022 playoff Zeke mixed up w the 2018 playoff Zeke sorry

Pollard is the Lead back now by a long shot

If Jerrah thought Zeke was the main back he'd run him that way. The same way he has since he owned the team.

He's just saving face because that's how they do it here bruh

Pollard and Davis may be putting up monster numbers if an $18 million Zeke wasn't blocking their progress.

Zeke is just a better blocker and goal line back. But without a top run blocking oline his washed up status would shine more brightly.

2021 Playoff Zeke had 12 rushes for 31 yards and 4 targets and 1 reception for 0 yards

I know he and the oline were banged up. But he's not a playoff caliber back.

They got the wild card sewed up. You'd think theyd insert Davis more and save Zeke for the playoffs.

Davis has shown flashes. He isn't getting run down from behind lmao

The 2021 playoff non scoring Zeke is coming. Just be patient.

What was Pollard's production in that same game? Context makes a big difference, when assessing talent. So many blame Zeke for his contract, playing while hurt, and getting most of the carries.

He did not write up his own contract. He did not put himself in games, knowing he was injured, and he does not set the roster. Management, is the issue with this team. Zeke, will go as the team allows.

Pollard is hard to replace. He is a potential home run everytime he gets the ball on the field. He has low mileage on his body also. Hard to let one of the most dynamic all purpose backs in Football go. Zeke is easier to replace with his age and wear and tear on his body. Everyone in the league would agree with the above. If Zeke is cut for cap reasons he is probably looking at far less money next year from anyone in the league.

PS. Folks love to talk about old warriors, they just don't want to pay them.

Yep, making Zeke a post-June cut will free-up $10m. I realize fans will complain about free agency being over at that point, however, the La'el cut funded: : Peters, Barr, Hankins, Hilton.

For me there's nothing Zeke does (for $16.7m) that Malik can't do for 0.87m. Franchise Pollard, and push the decision onto the relative CAP sanctuary in 2024,

How about we get our overpaid QB to restructure.. and keep the money for our engine: pollard and zeke.
Over paid quarterback. Do you know how much they’re getting paid now he’s way under paid.

So you are saying you like him because he's good and cheap....you won't like him when he is good and being paid what he is worth. The ONLY person putting his life and health on the line is the player...yet you don't want to see him properly compensated for that? Or you don't want it to happen in the uniform of the franchise you cheer for? SMH...............
