Pollard has the Cowboys offensive line too.
Kamara is silky smooth.

Comparable size:
Alvin Kamara - 5'10" 215 lbs
Tony Pollard - 6' 210 lbs

40 time (combine) - almost identical:
Alvin Kamara - 4.53
Tony Pollard - 4.52

Now were Kamara separates himself is his burst and lateral quickness. If you watch both of their combine videos below you will see they are not similar runners. That said, Pollard could probably still be starting RB in NFL but Kamara could be top all-purpose yards RB.

Pollard couldn't do half of what Kamara can do

I think he can, Tony's the real deal.

in this O Linehan never had a Reggie Bush - a key role in any timing system (like Kamara). Dunbar was good ..., Lucky just OK, Austin can't stay on the field. that's like not having a good TE in how it hits your O production. Like a net 50y a game.

This is a guy who will often get 10y+ per touch. That's star power.

Just use the eyeball test - on a team R1 picks at WR in Cooper and Austin, a R2 pick in Smith, and a R3 pick in Gallup ... and Zeke - Tony's as dangerous as most of them and the most versatile.

PJTHEDOORS let me know that Pollard had food poisoning at the combine. He ran a 4.3 at Memphis' pro-day. So their 40 times are not almost identical.

Just wanted you to have the correct info moving forward.

i mean it doesn’t mean I can’t either. Kamara is special
Everyone is special in their own way. I like the young rookie. But only time is going to tell Cowboy brother we're all great in our own ways

I prolly wont make it thru the end of the season. I was here for only about 2-3 weeks last season

That would be a damn shame. I appreciate your views, don't always agree with them but they are definitely cogent. Hang tough, temper your responses when it seems you need to break out the flamethrower, and keep posting. Walk the line !

Well, we get to see the starting RB in New Orleans this sunday that backup Tony Pollard has been compared to coming out of the NFL draft from Memphis State in Alvin Kamara.

Kamara started his impressively stellar career as a rookie behind Mark Ingram who seem to take on more the bell cow bulk and load of the running game while AK spelled him in spots and nickel situations and eventually became a bigger part the more splash plays he made his rookie year, ..soon teams were far more afraid of Kamara than Ingram.

and I’m trying not to go overboard but could Pollard actually have more explosiveness and miss ‘em elusiveness than even Zeke ?

And when do we get to see the level of Pollard’s receiving skills as a weapon in Kellen’s offense ?
lets keep the anointing oil on the shelf for now...pollard has the physical skills and has shown he may have the ability to be a good RB, but he is not Kamara or Zeke.....he is a good piece to have in our offense. yes, he had a great game against a really weak opponent, but hopefully that will help his growth.

Pollard has more explosiveness than zeke and imo a lot if other ones do to

but zeke is a load and his vision is second to none.....hes a 4,4,5,2,3,3,4,4,5 yard kinda guy

pollard right now isnt touching Kamara though......Kamara will put up 1k on the ground and 1k in receiving multiple times before he hangs it up

if pollard can get 500 yards rushing and 500 receiving this offense will be unstoppable
But I've already noticed about this young rookie. That first leg whip is not bring him down. I seen running backs get touched and they lose their balance. That alone it's a huge aspect of the running game for me. Go Cowboys
