I guess Santana got lucky all year. Whatever works...

Nice....another Commander fan that fails to read an entire post.

I never said he was lucky all year. He was outstanding all year.

But if you had paid any attention at all the first game, you would've seen that he did virtually nothing until the fluke TDs at the end of the game.

Heck, most sportscasters agreed that they were flukes. It had more to do with our lack of communication in the secondary (it was game two in a new defense remember?) than anything else.

You make it sound as if Moss OWNED us all game both games.

UNTRUE....

Aside from two flukish TDs the first game, and one long catch the second game, what else did he do?

Remember, the second game was against a pitifully injured Cowboys team.

Of course, I'm sure you'll only read part of the post and only comment on that.

I'm still waiting for a Skins fan to comment why they didn't have the guts to post over here last year.

See now you are switching arguments. Whats the point your making was it that Santana done great game 2? If so that is false. Is it that Dallas lost? Then that is correct.

Don't talk out both sides of your *** and we wont have these problems

My point is that when Dallas concentrated on Santana (double teams) in the second game, the rest of the team benefitted (i.e. Cooley). What will happen this year?

OK, it was close. I personally think he got in. But the Skins did pretty well on offense regardless. The same offense got A LOT better this offseason.

The games should be fun next year...I think we can agree on that.

Again your argument was not about the Skins offense it was about moss. Do I need to go back and quote what you said?

Got ALOT better? By adding a kick returner and an average WR? If you say so. Just adding 1 Wr threw our WR corp right past yours

If you really think that 2nd game was because they concentrated on Moss, or was any kind of indication of the Skins being better than the Cowboys I have a bridge to sell you.

The Commanders offense did not show up in the 05 season until the 4th quarter of the Monday night game (9 points in 7 quarters). It wasn't a fluke that Moss scored, it was the offense clicking. They did so the rest of the year.

Again, you Skins fans continue to look at the second game as an accurate representation of what our team brings to the table this year.

You ingore the fact that we had lost our LT, 3rd WR, LOLB, MLB, CB, and were just getting back Julius from injury.

Ok....whatever.....

Our defense got A LOT better.....actually WORLD's better. Just getting back Henry changes a lot for us.

You can dry hump Saunders all you want. he doesnt play the game, and the Skins dont have the offensive talent of the Chiefs. He is a good Ocoordinator but to think he is automatically gonna make you guys an offensive jugernaut is foolish/

you have the same offense as last year except a better kick returner, and a slightly better #2

I agree, both teams got better this offseason. Along with the Seahawks, the Skins and Boys are the class of the NFC.

I just get sick and tired of hearing how Moss scoring was a fluke. He did it all year to everybody. It wasn't a fluke. Moss was better than Dallas that day. Just like Cooley was better in the 2nd game. And just like Emmitt was better for 8 or 9 years!

You mean the same crappy offense that was nonexistant until week 8 or so.

If I remember correctly, you all lost four in a row.......you looked terrible.

If anything your offense started clicking when you began the soft part of your schedule and ran into the rest of the NFC East that was banged up pretty bad.

You all were the only NFC East team to escape the injury bug last year.

His TDs that game were a fluke, you may be sick of hearing it but that is the truth.

Yeah, Al Saunders won't help at all.

I would be a slightly better #2 receiver. Lloyd is huge upgrade.

Patten catching 2 long passes would have been a fluke. Not Moss. Get real.

I didnt say Saunders wouldnt help, but you expect to have some juggernaught but dont have the talent for it.

Lloyd is a huge upgrade over Patten? even though Patten had better numbers in 2004 than Lloyd has EVER had?

Please spare me, last seaosn we were told how great Patten was now its Lloyd, next year will be some other guy

It doesnt matter if it was Randy freaking moss the TDs were flukes no way around it. He had been bottled up the whole game and then got long TDs on blown coverages nothing more

That talent was 11th in football last year. Add some receivers, a blocking TE, and Al Saunders and it will be top 5.

Patten is a #3 receiver at best. This year, he will only see the field in 4 receiver sets.

I've never praised Patten. He's fast but has awful hands.

Hey, I'll admit you were better.....last year....and there were circumstances that worked in your favor.

And you can't claim that Moss owned us. I'll back off the fluke statement. But you have to admit that he didn't DOMINATE us at all. It was more of a case of preparation meeting opportunity meeting us falling asleep.

Are you 28 points better than us....really?

For one day in December you were. But to use that game as a measuring stick is foolish. Heck, I hope all the Commanders think that. It'll get ugly for them real quick if they do.

But I can guarantee you they won't. They're not blind to how good of a team that we're becoming I assure you.

I Gurantee you guys arent a top 5 offense. If you are then Dallas must be around 4

Patten is a #3 at best then what does that make lloyd and El since he is better than both of them?

ARE YOU JOKING?!

On the 70 yard catch:
MOSS RAN RIGHT PAST THE CORNER. ROY WILLIAMS SAW HIM COMING AND GOT A GOOD JUMP AND STILL GOT TOASTED.

ROY GOT BEAT ON THAT PLAY. THERE WAS NO BLOWN COVERAGE. MOSS JUST RAN PAST 2 GUYS!
