Overshown was starting to come on now we wait to see what he looks like after his injury.
Marist has shown glimpses of being a player, I hope to see him make a huge jump next year.
Kendricks was a very good FA pickup for this ball club and really didn’t show any signs of age. If we retain him and keep his snap count in line he could have another solid season.
Kneeland was playing very well before his injury, he didn’t put up big stats when he came back, but he was key in the improved defense.
Beebe had some moments where he showed his lack of experience, but overall it was a successful campaign. Now we have to figure out is he a C/OG
Hoffman/Bass both of these players appear to be keepers who seem like they’re developing into solid starters I’m excited for them rolling into 25
Steele- Yes Steele, it seems that as the year wore one Steele rounded into pre-Steele injury, could it have something to do with Zach no longer being there? Who knows, but encouraged with the progression.
OSO- had a pretty good year he will probably demand a big contract.
Lamb- dudes a beast
Mazi-? I contemplated this one for a bit, I felt Mazi has gotten better was a he worth a first? No, but after the adversity of his rookie year I think he did a decent job gaining valuable reps and experience. Coming off the injury and a full offseason ahead of him I’m eager to see if he will continue to build on it.
Aubrey- dudes a beast
Bland- He’s about as consistent as they come.
Butler- I think this young man has a future it’s sucks he got injured so late in the season.
Lewis- dude had a crazy good year I hope we retain him.
Turpin- guys an electric player
Lawson- I thought he gave us great reps as a sub player.
Rico- good year for him but he shouldn’t prevent you from upgrading that position.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.
What's missing is 2-3 more playmakers, dawgs, elites or whatever you wanna call them. As stated many times, nearly all Super Bowl teams have at least 2 elite/impact players on BOTH sides of the ball.

This could be debatable....BUT, I thought the guys not quitting knowing their season was over is one of the positives.
It totally was. I was all for getting a better draft pick but their fighting spirit made me cheer for them like they were still in it. Going into Washington after everyone was trying to crown them and their fans chanting "we want Dallas" weeks before the game and shutting them up was the highlight of the season, including the Turpin spin move which was the play of the season for us.

The biggest takeaway for me was to stop wasting my time watching these games. No need to intentionally frustrate myself

Broke my heart to not watch that Bucs game, found out we were out and I didn't even watch the game, watched the eagles game, will probably barely watch the wash game

Thank you, I agree with your list, except for Steele. He was awful a good part of the year. There are many positives even in a down year.

The improvement in the OL was very positive. I would love to see them move the guys back to their original spots and let Steele walk. But this line played better when Martin went out.

We absolutely need another playmaker at WR to compliment Lamb. Cooks isn’t it. Tolbert isn’t either. Turpin is a good specialty option.

Dowdle should be resigned and we should draft a compliment…similar to the Lions with Montgomery and Gibbs.

OSA and Lewis are must resigns. Kendrick and Lawson are solid depth pieces. Kneeland played well. Tank is a huge question mark. Hopefully get Sam Williams back, he and Kneeland will make a decent rotation with Parsons. Gholson is also worth resigning for the right price.

Biggest negative of all was injuries. We had more injuries to star players than I can remember. Every one of our best players missed significant games. Diggs and Overshown likely won’t be back till mid or late season. Liufau will help reduce the loss of Overshown and Vigil wasn’t horrible as a replacement.

Would love to see a pretty significant roster churn, with new starters at 5 or 6 places for sure.

1) The season being over is probably tops!

2) Seeing Overshown play well

3) Our defense got better, hoping to build on that

I'll let you have your turn and thoughts!!
Getting the young guys on the oline reps was huge for the future.

Kneeland, Liufau, Guyton and Beebe all contributed well. With Carson getting some starts.

Hopefully the coaching staff gets changed.

Mazi Smith looks like an NFL DT.

I was going to say draft pick selection, but we ruined that by winning a few times after the season was basically over.

Agree about Overshown.
Defense had it's up and down moments, but lately the aggressive style looks better, and with all the injuries to half the starters.

J. Lewis has been a bright spot.
The play of some of the back up OL. Even if they do not turn into starters next season, we will have some depth. But I feel still need a new OL coach.

Schoonmaker getting more playing time when Ferguson was out, and did not look horrible as some will have others believe.Want to see how he develops more in 2025.
We lost Lawrence, Overshown late. Daron did not play a lot and then Diggs.
But to say we lost half the starters is typical Jethro excuses
The Saints WORKED US before that happened. Almost Every team with a good offense or better WORKED US.
Schoon will never be the threat Ferguson WAS. We can only hope he comes back to what he WAS.

Well, they certainly developed their depth, thanks to all the injuries

Dowdle's late season surge is an encouraging sign.

This season demonstrated that the 2023 draft was not a complete waste. Overshown was playing at a Pro Bowl level, Schoonmaker showed signs of life. Jalen Brooks doubled his numbers from the previous season.

Despite the injuries, the O-line began to improve, they became more cohesive around mid-November. If you replace Martin with Hoffman, the O-line average age is a little past 24 years.

I was not making excuses pointing out that we did lose half the starters at some point. There were so many different starting line ups throughout the season on defense. And the OL.

However they and some backups seemed to play better later on. That was a good sign.
