Positives to take away from this season? If any

Jerry and Stephen getting exposed as the issue with the organization. I think there is a movement (however small) against the Joneses from at least this board and YouTube Cowboys media. I am actually concerned for Cavanaugh for a what he said about Stephen a few weeks ago.

Positives to take away from this season? If any

Positives:
  • Tyler Smith is solidly established as one of the best o-lineman in the game.
  • Cee Dee continues to excel despite lack of a real #2 and any consistency from the TE position.
  • Rico can be part of a solid two-man RBBC.
  • Beebe has the potential to be a solid starting center in this league.
  • Cheerleaders still looking great.
  • Bland is a player that needs to be here for a while
Negatives:
  • Praying that Overshown isn't going the Sean Lee career route
  • Mazi played, and has shown little improvement
  • Need a legit compliment to Micah
  • Need a legit #2 for Cee Dee
  • Sadly, Steele is probably finished. Need a RT.
  • Need a solid RB to go with Rico
  • Maybe we need new OL and DL coaches

Positives:
  • Season’s almost over.
  • Players that emerged: Demarvion Overshown, Rico Dowdle, Cooper Beebe, Osa Odighizhua (he’s been good in the past but this year was his best), Marist Liafau towards season’s end.
  • Brandon Aubrey remains the best K in the NFL.
  • More Cowboys fans getting fed up with the never ending Jones circus.
Negatives:
  • The worst off-season in Cowboys history. This season was torpedoed by the Jones boys‘ before we even started training camp. Their refusal to make decisions on key contracts early ruined their ability to create cap space and make the moves they needed to improve the roster. And they continue to lie about it.
  • The injuries. The Overshown injury was heart breaking.
  • Not enough weapons on offense and the insane decision to start Zeke at the beginning of the year. It killed the running game early in the season along with having two rookie OL who needed time to develop.
  • No end in sight to the Jones stupidity, incompetence and arrogance.
“Worst off-season in Cowboys history.”

Got that right.

Let me get this straight…the teams of the last few years were left short on the field because they didn’t want cap problems in….say, 2024-25. We are now at that point, yet they claim to have cap problems.

Sounds like they know exactly what they are doing.

Edit…well let me add a positive to appease the few…..Lamb certainly didn’t mail it in after getting paid. If anything he played harder. Unfortunately he got banged up. Total stud.

1) The season being over is probably tops!

2) Seeing Overshown play well

3) Our defense got better, hoping to build on that

I'll let you have your turn and thoughts!!
Number 2 would have been it for me but that blew up in smoke just like everything else did. I really can't think of anything to be honest. What young player jumped off the page besides Overshown who you would be excited to see next year? Overshown may not even be back and if he is it will be late in the season and what version are you getting? I guess it was good to see Beebe play well for a rookie but other than that the draft class has been weak so far.

100% I have always been positive with hope going into any season except this season. The off season was such a joke you just knew it wasn't going to go well. I didn't foresee all the injuries but even before that they were 3-5. Add in the draft class looks below average so far and yea here we are.

Dallas didn’t quit, they could have closed up shop weeks ago. I would say Overshown but he won’t play next season and might not ever be the same. Jerry and bozo jr looks to be gaining a bit more heat on their backs. I don’t have to mention Lamb, Micah, Aubrey, etc because it wasn’t a surprise. Mazi was better than last season but still is not good enough, draft Grant

I don't see that at all. lol Right now, even before Washington, we rank 31st in total defense. I think you may have got confused bc we got to play some really bad teams down the stretch. But this defense is atrocious. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2024/opp.htm

The bright spots were CD, Overshown, Aubrey, and Turpin. Overshown will likely never be the same after tearing all 3 knee ligaments.

The best part of this season is that it's over. We agree on that much.

Just more proof that Jerry is completely incompetent at an NFL level.
