Only 45?, that's a tiny production run, hardly seems worth it.Singer sewing machine company made 45 automatics for the military in WW2

Sometimes, due to the Mountainous terrain, it would take an entire Morning to cover a single Topo. The topo was a unit of measure placed purposely along side the vast road network, established,,, and/or absorbed ,,,incorporating ancient existing road systems as the expanding conquest of the Inca empire Busted a huge move of verified proportions in playing the top kick of the tribal big dogs in the Americas(* thats of currently baseline acceptable historical party line doctrine , being was it hardly existed in grandiose fashion but thru the 15th&16th centuries,,,* editors VIEWED casing-liner? YA-RIGHT* ,,,, ranging from Quito Ecuador in the north to Santiago Chile in the south, encompassing roughly 40,000 kilometers/25,000 miles of hammer down highway of the( pre European conquest) EMPIRE
* ya know,,, that TOPO measured out to 7 kilometres or 4.3 miles

Hell if I know,,,I'd just snagged that trivial tidbit off of the ancient origins website while planted on the crapper ,,,er,,,ya!Sometimes, due to the Mountainous terrain, it would take an entire Morning to cover a single Topo.
Hence the phrase " Topo the Morning to Ya"
My uncle told me they used to take the M1 Garands in the scalding hot shower to get them perfectly clean then after the heat dried them put a light coat of oil on and they were good to go otherwise they fail inspection and couldn't go to on leave . Had a Rem Rand in my 1911 collection good reliable gun . Traded it on a series 70 Gold Cup
* I recall being issued a Remington rand of typewriter fame manufacture .45cal pistol while in the CORPS ( late 70's early 80's) But I always stuffed it in a plastic wonder bread sack, while in my holster & all I had to do was brush off the bread crumbs b-4 turning it back in to the armoury,,, as acceptably cleaning an M-60 machine gun after firing,,, is a time consuming chore
*the belt fed full auto is one(if not the ONE) of the dirtiest weapons systems to clean after firing existing in any militaries weapons inventory.
They are considered the holy grail of the 1911's. Were I the owner of that company I would still be making them.Singer sewing machine company made 45 automatics for the military in WW2
I believe Rockola ( think juke boxes) put out some m1 carbines as well.
