You don't let a player get raped and call it letting them play. I AM all for letting them play. Micah didn't stand a chance. Like I said.

So are you for letting them play and having our team called for a ticky-tack illegal contact or something like that that leads to points?

I'm not happy about holding not being called, but I'd rather the officials stay out of it because usually when they choose to make their presence known it ends poorly for us.

What? Let them play, call when consistent and don't dictate the outcome. Simple enough for you?

For me, yes. Having watched this team and what happens when the officials get involved, I don't consider it simple for them. Again, I'd rather them stay out of it, like they did in this game, because I've seen what happens when they don't ... and it's usually nothing good for us.

Ideally, I'd love for them to call those holding penalties on the other team, the pass interference where Gallup was grabbed, the incompletion to Smith on the sideline, etc. ... Conversely, I'd rather them keep the flags in their pocket rather than call some ticky-tack or weird thing against us that affects the outcome of the game. Again, I'm not disappointed that that's what they did rather than what they could have done. Could it have been done better? Absolutely. But it also could have been much worse if it was a flagfest.

A question for you: How often have you seen the officials let them play, call when consistent and not dictate the outcome? Most of the time we end up on the wrong side of flag football deservedly or not.
