I've heard it's pretty much inevitable that the Raiders will target JaMarcus Russell to be their QB-of-the-future. Might that might mean the end of either Aaron Brooks or Andrew Walter in OAK? Brooks had a decent if not spectacular stretch as a starter in NO' between '01 and '04, and he is mobile and throws a nice deep ball. He might make a decent backup/stopgap starter guy if something should happen to Romo. Walter was really in over his head as a starter last year but showed he had a big-time arm. Maybe a year of experience on the sidelines would be good for his development. I think Brooks will be cut in March so the Raiders won't have pay him his roster bonus. Maybe OAK would accept a mid-round draft pick for Walter if they land Russell as, with a draft deep draft in WR's, the Raiders might want as many picks as they can get since they might move Randy Moss and Joey Porter and would subsequently need to find replacements.
Brad Johnson might be nice to have around. Seems like MIN is high on Tarvaris Jackson and Brian Bollinger and content to let those two fight it out for the starting job.
