I wonder if Emmett Cleary taking first team reps signifies he is the early contender for swing tackle. Actually, I would love for Green to take that role, but given his injury record I don't see how the team can depend upon him for any lengthy fill-in.

That is one of the more surprising developments of this camp.

I did not think either would make it back. Especially Swaim.

Hanna apparently is now firmly the second TE.

He is the unofficial first string tight end. He is significantly better than Witten in every respect except experience.

@Alexander @Sepia

Keep dem Jaylon vids coming. He looks real nice. Only pulls up right before he would land the tackle. Full friggin' speed, baby!

Man, I hope we see him this Thursday.

First vids of Jaylon had me kind of wondering if he was truly go speed tbh. But, If he's hampered today by his nerve issue, I'm not seeing it. Kid can flat out fly either way.

I'm with you, but neither of those guys is dynamic enough for me unless Hanna suddenly plays to his timed speed.

I think the Cowboys may be shifting away from the 12 personnel grouping, making another dynamic TE in addition to Witten unnecessary. Admittedly, I am basing this belief off of the acquisition of Switzer, who will provide a headache for defensive coordinators lined up in the slot opposite Beasley, with Dez and TWill/Butler manning the outside receiver spots. With Zeke in the backfield and Dak as a run threat, as well, that would be a nightmare for the defensive grouping the opposition would be handcuffed to answer with.

But, of course and as always, I very much could be wrong.
