Which means he really wants Elliot. Garrett always fancied himself a good actor and poker player, but he's not. LOL.

He generally says nothing with a lot of words, but you could see it on his face when he spoke about Ramsey.

Other than Byron Jones the most notable NFL player is Dan Orlovsky....
Not exactly Florida State.

You're looking at it backwards. Who Byron Jones and Jalen Ramsey count as alumni is not as important as who their competition is. And while the big east (or what ever they are calling it) is not as good as the ACC, it's not as big of a difference as their school's history would indicate.

it's funny Stephen said they brought in Deion to tell them what makes a great CB. Like come one. You know you brought him in to discuss jalen lol real obvious

Jerry tends to drop some interesting nuggets every now and then.

Yep like when he says animoniously at the most animonious times.
Jerry - "um, (lip smack), um life without Romo would be shallow and pendantic", as he winks his eye.

So, the things I found interesting are:

1. Jerry seems very proud of what the team has done in the offseason...he beamed that he thinks they have done a really good job.

2. They think that they are not in a "have to" position anywhere on the team....as in they don't have to draft a DE or S or RB or QB high

3. Garrett still is spouting RKG and says they have more quality people on this team than he has ever been around

4. They feel they are closer to 12-4 team then 4-12, answered that very quickly

5. Injuries are the big thing, if they can stay away from injuries to Dez and Romo, a few others they can do well.

6. Sounds like they are going to have to be blown away with a trade offer to consider moving down from 4

7. Talked a LOT about Ramsey, Tunsil almost never mentioned by the Joneses or Garrett, Elliott mentioned some. If you go by number of times a player gets mentioned, it is Ramsey in a landslide.

It seemed very clear that Bosa wasn't in the mix, not due to character concerns. If they don't pick him it's because they don't think he is going to be that great a player.

Maybe it was just me or maybe he has worked on it some...he just did not seem to be as bad with the umms and the lip smacking as he has been in the past.

I agree with you...basically we got him before he hit the Johnny Walker. He was as lucid as I have seen him in a while.

Not exactly...when people say you are the only freshman DB who has started since Dion Sanders at FSU it means more to everyone than anything they could say about Byron Jones at U Conn. Let's not pretend being considered good enough to start every year at a power house school like FSU doesn't score you plenty of perception points in the scouts eyes. While I agree it's important to look at who they played against this thinking doesn't really carry too much weight when Ramsey hasn't produced against these teams. It may be true that he will be awesome at this level. And it may not matter that he doesn't have stats to show for his play. This is why the scouts make so much money. To us fans we have to have some question marks to see someone only have 3 interceptions in 3 years.

Looking at where Ramsey will get drafted makes me appreciate what we found in Byron jones even more.

That said...this article seems to hint that the Chargers are leaning towards Ramsey if they can't trade out of the 3 spot.

And SD is taking Ramsey so we'd better get used to Tunsil if they truly believe BPA. Though I don't believe they'll take him for one second.

They addressed BPA and need...basically admitted need could be the deciding factor on two guys that are close or if one of the positions is deeper than another.

I agree with you.
People have a huge love fest with Ramsey. Maybe it's warranted. But I don't see such amazing production from him to warrant this level of praise. B Jones played at a small school so there is always that. But to me Ramsey is a question mark at CB. Why did Florida State have him playing safety if he the next coming of Dion Sanders at corner? Just doesn't make sense.

Because hes a better Safety than a CB there is no questioning that....

I personally haven't been crazy at all what we did this offseason....I like the Thornton signing hes a run stopper and will
help us tremendously with that and I like signing Alfred Morris for our RB core other thn that not so much !!!

Was really disappointed with a lot of the things they said.

Especially about the backup QB situation.

It's sad that when Romo retires they will have no QB ready to roll behind a OL that will waste their prime years with a rookie QB
