naughty dave...
OC should have dumbed down the offense earlier. Romo, hand the ball off to Murray. We would have been more successful. Just like Dak handing off to Zeke.
We should have gotten rid of both sooner. You mean we should have gotten rid of Garrett earlier and let Romo call the plays.. The fact that it was Romo that led to the changes in the offense clearly sails over your head.
Dak was handing off to Zeke this year and still sucked... And Linehan actually increased play-action for this guy in the first year and ran plenty of roll-outs, when none of that was employed for Romo. Dak sucked the more responsibility he was given, particularly when given the run-pass options.

And hindsight tells me I am right. His career is over and it netted 2 wild card wins. That’s not going to change. The book is written on him at this point unless he comes out of retirement and actually wins something. Stats and being placed in hypothetical situations which may have allowed him to win do nothing for me. Actual results are what matters and he was a snake bitten player. I would have no confidence he wouldn’t trip over his own feet if he were running in for the game winning score as time expired in the Super Bowl. And practical reality proves you wrong. We were basically robbed in Lambeau in our first year with Romo and Linehan as a play-caller and Red-Clapper out the way and Romo actually being involved in the game-planning meetings.
Nice try though...

Maybe you're right
To me Dak friendly would mean more hand offs to your best offensive weapon and a better TE option or 2 but what do I know
Since we are playing with hypotheticals here, Dak would have won that game at Lambeau. He could have easily made those dink and dunk throws Romo completed that day, and he would have been able to use his feet to extend the drives Romo couldn’t when he had all day to throw and chose to be sacked instead of throwing the ball away. You can claim this all you want..
Too bad for you, you have a track record of aying out the other side of your mouth, it's about what he was surrounded by his whole career to defend Dak...
Romo, when he was in charge, was robbed in Lambeau. WIth Garrett in charge, he actually won games for us despite Garrett screwing this team over ad our most successful offense by the time all was said and done with Garrett was hurry-up, meaning when they took him out the equation.
None of that is happening with Dak. He's sucking with an all-pro line and a competent OC and the offense has to be dumb-ed down for him. Throwing all these pick 6s and setting records in futility of not being able to score a TD for over ten quarters. And can't evn move the ball against third-stringers in Philly, while telling the world about how it's important to end on a high-note.

first off i support Dak BUT at this o\point theres no comparison, neither may not have won a super bowl yet of even gone to an NFCG but you do realize Romo was Undrafted, no expectations, came in when we had like 12 really bad qbs and some horrible years to finally give us some stability at QB.. He went on to set just about every passing record there is with the cowboys and a lot of his numbers have him ranked in the top 5 and none worse than the top 10 career rankings.. its laughable people say he choked a lot and threw a lot of INTs but he didnt his INT/TD ratio is better than so many top qbs in nfl history including besting Staubach and Aikmans careers in numbers im talking about throwing nearly twice the TDs and half the INts..It just felt like he was bad in big moments but reality is the is a TRUE team game and players around him and coaches failed him, Fickle fans want tpo remember what they wanted but Romo was Great maybe not elite but at times played like an Elite QB. I realize numbers don't buy you a SB but Romo more than blew UDFA QB numbers out of the water and exceeded all expectations, we wasted his career but not putting better players in front and behind him until it was too late.. He accounted for keeping this team from being Cleveland IMO.. those 8-8 season could have easily been 3-13 without him..He did carry this team at times and last year showed Dak isn't there yet but im going to support him and hope he finds a way when its all falling apart to win some games on his own..So we can luv and support both, we don't have to hate one to luv the other..its seems like that a majority here are like that but those Romo haters have really poor memorys..That Rams/GB b2b loss last year is pretty much Romos career..the team mostly coaching and Defense(switzers fumble, Twills muff INT) failed Dak..both those games should have been wins with the O and Dak dropping 30plus on both and having leads double digit leads at the Half..thats was 10 years of what happened to romo..However Romo never had stretch like that where they went 15 qtrs. without a TD and the D holding the other teams to low scores early and the offense just couldn't do anything..Im still supporting Dak and hope things rebound..Who cares man. Romo couldn’t win without it. I know you can’t stand Dak but it is laughable Romo fans are pulling this crap. If someone made the argument Romo sucked you’d be pulling offensive line, no running game, and bad defense out to excuse him for not winning.

Yes I realize how good Romo was, but he needed the same things Dak needs and the same things every other SB winning QB need...a team. Why that seems to be used as a knock on Dak is beyond me.first off i support Dak BUT at this o\point theres no comparison, neither may not have won a super bowl yet of even gone to an NFCG but you do realize Romo was Undrafted, no expectations, came in when we had like 12 really bad qbs and some horrible years to finally give us some stability at QB.. you have to admit though Romo was a Better pure passer(timing, anticipation, throwing guys open etc), period, better pocket awareness, and better audilbe caller than the current Dak..I can only hope we get dak of 16 but even that year you can see the difference..that doesn't mean I don't think we can be successful with Dak but its really not fair to compare them at this current point in their careers..Yes I realize how good Romo was, but he needed the same things Dak needs and the same things every other SB winning QB need...a team. Why that seems to be used as a knock on Dak is beyond me.
And all you have to do is make fun of Tony for the Romo-hanger ons to start making the excuses for HIM, despite not making them for any other QB when they apply to ALL QBs.
But being better doesn’t matter. Dan Marino was better than Romo. Did that make a difference?you have to admit though Romo was a Better pure passer(timing, anticipation, throwing guys open etc), period, better pocket awareness, and better audilbe caller than the current Dak..I can only hope we get dak of 16 but even that year you can see the difference..that doesn't mean I don't think we can be successful with Dak but its really not fair to compare them at this current point in their careers..
hey i said TEAM GAME.. i get it..we just need to see something closer to 2016 Dak not late 2017 Dak..if he can get back somewhere closer to 17 which i saw a lot of that the first half of the season but not consistently.. if Dak cant play close to 16 production and ball protection he may not be the answer past his rookie contract but im hoping he will and will support him instead of Rip him like others..I saw real reason for the regression and can see a bounce back year coming..But being better doesn’t matter. Dan Marino was better than Romo. Did that make a difference?
Need to get a home run hittng WR that would open up the run game.yea, so one benefit of a run-heavy rpo scheme would be the defense defending the run in a dime type package. i got to think at least 1 db gets run over once per play. if zeke and the ol run such a play 20 times a game, the defense may literally run out of dbs to tackle zeke.
you are building the offense around dak.
that same offense may have trouble with another type of qb.
Would help if some of the passes thrown in Dez's direction were catchableDak had a 52% completion rate to Dez last year.
Dak had a 70% completion rate to everyone else.
Dez has the worst completion rate of any WR in the NFL over the last three years.
Seems like a case of additional by subtraction if you want to be Dak friendly.
