Is it possible they don't want to risk further harsh language condemning their actions by another judge and drop this?

I think that ship has sailed. The NFL, Goodell, Friel- must fight this to the very, ugly, bitter end.

What people do not realize is the sum of cash potentially awarded to Ezekiel for this wrongful charade and pinning him with a criminal label- effectively denying him millions of endorsement $ over his career as an NFL Superstar.

Goodell's regime is this "" close to collapse and each may be subject to personal financial ruin.

My hope is one of Henderson, Friel or Roger himself crack and identify the puppet master Mara as the orchestrator of a 15 year conspiracy to screw over his competition and source of personal agitation and envy: Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys.

Maybe. With how this one looks, it might be better for them to just take the L instead of having it on the appellate record in the Fifth Circuit that their process is BS.

The benefit, too, is that they can fix their process and then have basically a target on Zeke for his entire career. If he slips up at all they'll bring the fire.

Probably, and most likely Tiffany Thompson as well. She's the one I'm most excited to hear from. I want nothing more than to watch her melt under Kessler's cross examination.
love to see her get cold feet and recant so she doesn't have to testify and face any consequences. Would love to see the face of Goodell if that happened....

Zeke should be alright.

I signed him up for a Great Books Discussion Group.

Of course, whilst he is reading and talking about In Praise of Folly and Ulysses (Joyce's) with a bunch of Ewoks, The Empire will Strike Back.

At what point do these incidents create such a circus that the league owners say they need a new commissioner?

That's what I'm wondering as well.

Is this what you want from the grossly overpaid guy making $42 million a year?

Getting your league in trouble with the courts and being accused of "violating the CBA"?

They got what they need from Goodell when he bent over the players' union in the CBA negotiations. He's botched everything else since, and outstayed his welcome.

Time to go.

What is worrisome is if this still gets in before the end of the regular season, the suspension is upheld, and we lose him for the playoffs (if we make it).
Nah. The NFL is very particular about timing, and they won't want headlines about this in the most exciting part of their season.

This will happen next spring.
