If you don't understand the value of more recent data vs older data, then I can't help you.
This is the three most recent and relevant full years of data....not some pick a game here or there thing.
No GM in the NFL entering the year 2021 gives a flying crap what a player did in 2016. On the other hand, they do care more how Wentz , for example, played in 2020 than how he did in 2016 or 2017.
The further back you go in time, the less relevant it is to right now and next year.
How can you not grasp that?
You guys get so defensive.
I've always, for the most part, been in Dak's corner.
If you don't like the most recent time frame, then don't participate in the thread.
Geez
If you want to use recent data you use 2019 and 2020.
Geez, I wonder why you didn't do that??
Too small factor... OK use 2018, 2019, 2020.
48 games played is arbitrary nonsense that doesn't tie to any timeline and ends up in the middle across seasons for absolutely zero reason.
You are doing dumb things while actual NFL teams make real moves based on upon how they view these players that they drafted and developed.
Dak and Goff have both played 69 games. Wentz 68.
2 of those 3 guys have been benched in the last calendar year while the other guy led the league in passing yards per game
They have advanced metrics which are far better than QB and AYA. CPOE and EPA.
Combine CPOE and EPA for a composite QB efficiency score....
IF you use 2018 it drags Dak down a solid bit and he ranks only 18th. 2018-2020
The very poor end of 2018 and Pre-Amari 2019 show up there....
BUT in that ranking Goff comes in at 25th and Wentz 34th.
Remove 2018 and focus on the last two seasons. 2019-2020
Dak is 10th, Goff 23rd and Wentz 33rd.
In that ranking the guy right above and below Dak, Brees and Rivers just retired.
So Dallas is staring at the 9th most efficient NFL QB entering 2021 over the past 24 months.
Mahomes is 2nd and got 45AAV, Watson is 5th and got 40M last off-season to set the current market.
