Football is a team sport, always has been. QB's look all word when they have a supporting cast and like dog poop when they don't. Really strong cast in certain areas can cover up deficiencies. You've got to be able to run the ball and stop the run this league. Dallas is the worst in the league at both and their record reflects that.

Even Patrick Mahomes has learned this hard lesson recently.

Rush barely passed for over 100 yards during that win streak. If Rush was what yall tried to make him out to be, he would pull off another 5 game win streak, but he isn't capable without that defense that CARRIED him through that win streak.

There's a reason Jerry resigned him to that massive contract... because he's good enough to keep the team from turning into the complete stinker of a product that it is now. No coach or qb has been able to overcome Jerry for nearly 30 years and a new qb or coach won't fix that problem. The roster is still going to be constructed in the same bargain budget way and Jerry is still going to come in and over-ride the coaches decisions.

Sorry buddy.. Cooper Rush was 5-1 with the same roster Dak was winning with. Neither of them are capable of winning with this roster, but one has 1 year left and isn’t costing Jerry a quarter of a billion dollars

Andy Dalton, like Dak, was putting up close to 35 PPG after the bye against bad teams, and he didn’t even have a prime Zach Martin on the line.

The only think Dak had on other bad QBs is his ability to pad stats in garbage time. As I said years ago, congratulations Dak fans, he may literally be the best garbage stat padder of all time. When other teams QBs sit out, because they know it’s over, Dak will refuse to sit out even when the Packers bring out their third stringers on defense, playing prevent..

I give him credit though ... he is still here posting, even though its last ditch efforts to make Dak look like a top 10 QB. Haven't seen some of the others in weeks. They will be back I am sure once Dak is back and beats up on the first bottom feeder he faces.

all maybe true. But he still over achieved with this squad that Jerry put together. Didn’t pay him for what you’re getting. They paid him for what you got. A leader, a winner. It wasn’t him that failed in the playoffs. Never would’ve got there without him. But most fans think oh at least you will get higher draft picks. I’ll take a team that can beat anybody on any given day rather than quit.
