It was him that kept this team together for the last few seasons
If it wasn’t for him, it would be like it is now just for a longer period of time
Maybe people finally give him the credit he deserves
. Top 10 quarterback since he’s been in the league.
Yeah, go ahead. I don’t care. I know it really happens out there on the field.
Dak lover!

Dak cannot be gone soon enough!

Bottom line: This team cannot win a Super Bowl with Dak!

Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton, Duante Culpepper, Jay Cutler, Alex Smith, Andrew Luck, Michael Vick, Jeff Garcia and 200 other qb's who had good seasons and never made a SB. They only matter for crappy franchises not Dallas. Dak is a failure.

Yeah, name a quarterback that doesn’t need the same around him. And don’t say Mahomes because that’s foolish.
They all do, and that's the issue. The problem is that Dak has had pretty much all the weapons needed for the last number of years, and fell short. That being said, he had the guns on both sides of the ball, but did not have them in coaching or ownership. It is no secret that the successful franchise in the NFL is run like a well-oiled machine from ownership on down.

You’ve been wrong for so long and about so much you’re become just like Jerry now, you actually have started to believe what you are saying. Ask the family for an intervention it may be your only chance to understand what Dak and Jerry are, football losers.
You're still around after being so wrong year after year? I would hide in shame if I were you.

well, hate to break it to you. this team hasn't won a superbowl in 29 years. it will be 30 next year. and Dak will be gone at the latest 3 years from now. and there will be somebody else at the helm and we are not going to win a superbowl with that neither...you can put mahomes on this team and we are not winning superbowls.

Yeah, there is a fan or two that marvel at the Tom Brady game that the Cowboys won, and now a Steeler game they won, and they are on their knees praising Dak for being the best QB ever...pitiful.
A dysfunctional Brady, lost their guru super bowl coach, 8-9 loser bucs?

Given daks playoff records, i suppose I don't blame them for the need to marvel it.

I think 2016 he might have.

IMHO, no QB can win with Jerry at the helm. he will find a way to screw it up.
and do you really think Garrett had it in him to out coach bilicheck in a superbowl if we would have gotten there?
he probably would have been outcoached against Atlanta.

Statistics don’t win games. But his are above excellent never had the supporting cast totally on the same page. That’s the mess we have now. If it wasn’t for him, we’d be where we are now for at least four seasons.
I can only presume that you are trolling at this point?

The rosters in 2016, 2021 and 2022 were Superbowl calibre teams subject to those teams having a good quarterback. Cooper Rush went 4-1 in 2022. Cooper Rush! A practice squad bum quarterback. That shows you how strong that team really was.

Guess what happened? The team didn't even reach an NFC Championship Game.

Dak Prescott was not good enough. That is the hard cold truth.

Objectively, the Dak doubters look more and more prescient with each passing day.

I can't imagine anyone would argue otherwise.
Dak's numbers aren't bad, so WTH are you talking about? If anything, Dak's injury has shown us how much Dak was carrying this talentless horrible Offense.

I don't know who the "you guys" are when talking about getting emotional over the respect or lack of respect for Dak because that doesn't apply to me....

With that said, I believe in consistency when talking about players. We can't sit here and hold one player accountable for losses or wins, and then cherry pick excuses for other players who play the same position and they win or lose.

(For some reason sometimes it's a team game and sometimes it's all on one player)

The Dallas Cowboys beat a good Steelers team this year. You said that Wilson didn't play, but guess what.... we were missing players and we also have a limited offense with only one good receiver and ZERO good running backs.

But we still beat a good Steelers team. We don't know if Russell Wilson would have led them to a win over us because Dak has been on teams that has beaten a Russell led team before.

* Please don't mix up "emotional" with actual facts. Respectfully....

Whatever you say. My post wasn’t a comparison between Dak and Russell-though it seems your counter was to bring up that a Dak led team had beaten a Russell led team once upon a time.

Context matters. The game versus Pittsburgh was against a great defense who took the ball away 3 times and blocked a field goal. The Cowboys got one turnover in comparison-which 90%+ of the time yields a win for the team with the advantage except when that team had a sucky offense. Pittsburgh at the time was averaging fewer than 19 points per game with Fields. Now they are averaging more PPG with Russell starting and are undefeated in his starts. My point was they likely score much more that game with Russell and win-it’s basic arithmetic.

Also, the other games the Cowboys won this year were against the two worst scoring teams in the league. Which tells me that Dak makes a difference against teams that cannot score many points. He’s a guy that just goes as the rest of the team goes for the most part. Not some big difference maker the team is somehow reliant on that OP is claiming.

We aren't cash strapped. We have over 20m in cap space this year and 22m in projected cap space for next year.

We had enough cash in 2023 and 2022 to resign guys and sign a handful of FAs and still have 5m or so left to spare.

Please stop saying "We are cash strapped and its Dak's fault". It's not true. A quick look on Spotrac or Overthecap would have made that evident.

Although you probably already knew this, and were just lying through your teeth to keep up the agenda like most of the posters on this board these days seem to. I hate it here.
We are paying a mediocre QB - TOP QB money. If you don't see a flaw in that, you're the problem with this franchise.

Yeah. He's carrying them.

It's only been 9 years.... glad to see you still keep hope alive.
