This thread is exactly why everybody makes fun of us Cowboys fans.

Dumbest fan base in all of professional sports. Embarrassingly sad.
Don't be so hard on yourself. You are entitled to your opinion.

So because the team lost he didn’t step up? Your logic is flawed because you’ve presumed Romo was at fault or the missing piece that could’ve done more to win the game on his own, which is blaming him no matter how much you deny it. It’s talking out of two sides of your mouth. It was his second year of starting in the league. How great was Dak in his second year of starting? He was below average. Why didn’t he step up his game? That’s the way you guys talk. You’ll presume a loaded condition and then say he didn’t live up to it. It’s nonsense. Too many variables in a game outside of his control to presume he could’ve or should’ve done this or that in some general claim.

I have no idea what you’re talking about defending him and then devaluing him. That makes no sense.
Romo was mid in the playoffs. He was capable of better.

You liked Ferguson but you did not like anyone else you haven't liked the past two drafts. Either way, we are living in the moment. This defense at its peak is pretty good....but the 2007 defense was STACKED. Ken Hamlin, Demarcus Ware, Jay Ratliff, Newman, Greg Ellis.....let's not pretend like Romo didn't have weapons because they went 13-3 for a reason.
2007 Cowboys Pro Bowlers:

QB Tony Romo RB Marion Barber WR Terrell Owens TE Jason Witten T Flozell Adams G Leonard Davis C Andre Gurode LB Greg Ellis LB DeMarcus Ware CB Terence Newman FS Ken Hamlin SS Roy Williams K Nick Folk

Parcells was a complete joke by the time he got to Dallas. If Parcells retired because of Romo then he is a complete moron. That was the parcells I remember. Quincy Carter, Bledslow and Testicleverde were is QB's then when he finally got REAL QB he quit. what a joke.
Parcells inherited Dave Campos 5-11 teams (3 straight years) and the 10-6 Cowboys made the playoffs in Parcells first season (including winning 5 games in a row with a record of 7-3 after the first 10 games).

Eli took some pedestrian defenses to the SB.....they were horribly ranked. Can't use that excuse. He had some piss poor linebacker and secondary play. Nice try though.

Look I don't fault Romo for not getting a ring because he wasn't good enough to get one. That's sort of my point. We needed him to be a top 5 QB or at least play like one in the post season and he wasn't capable of doing it. We needed that 5 TD performance that we just got from Dak by Romo in 2007. We needed it in 2014 against the Packers.....it just never came.
LOL!

The Giants defense that made guys like Tom Brady, Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan look like crap?

Eli Manning carried those guys?

Romo was better at throwing back breaking interceptions at the worst parts of big games.
So did Bret Favre, and he's in the Hall of Fame. Romo didn't have any teams good enough to be back breaking anything.

Favre led teams at least got out of the divisional round of the playoffs and won a SB.

Favre was also a NFL MVP one regular season.

At least three things; Romo did not accomplish.

Yeah, he took a stacked team, top to bottom, that rivaled the early 90s Cowboys teams to the SB twice. Not that impressed. You want backbreaking, look to the 2009 NFC championship game. Very few quarterbacks can grab defeat from the jaws of victory like Brett Favre.
