Nothing will happen per usual. I don’t expect us getting anyone. And if we do. It’s a no name player who will never see the field.

Bland, Gilmore, Johnson, with Lewis as your 4th man would be pretty much the best group of CBs in the league.

If you want to win it all this year, you have to at least try to make it happen.

The Cowboys can trade their 2nd for him and then get a 3rd back the following year if he signs with another team the following year. They also will be getting Overshown back next year. Maybe that would offset not having that 2nd rounder.

Every other GM: "Can we make a trade that helps us win?"

This team's GM: "Making a trade is admitting we didn't do a good enough job putting together the team in the offseason. We can't have that."
Naw, just some fans. Some teams are already just tanking...and there will end up plenty if deals before 1500.

The draft compensation isn't what matters, it's the contract that would have to follow.

Bears are now going to have to pay Bosa money to Sweat.

Hearing Johnson and his agent want a huge contract extension, for the Cowboys probably would be more of a rental and a 2nd rd pick might be too high price to pay.
Too high? They would get a 3rd round back if he signed with another team.
