Hearing Johnson and his agent want a huge contract extension, for the Cowboys probably would be more of a rental and a 2nd rd pick might be too high price to pay.
My thoughts exactly. The Cowboys aren't afraid to enter the trade market, however they wont spend that high of a pick on a rental they aren't sure they can lock up. With Diggs already signed and Bland making a case for a big deal, Johnson may simply not be realistic for how the Cowboys operate. Since they hardly participate in free agency right or wrong they depend on those higher picks to round out the roster.

Oh what do you know, the Bills and 49ers, both teams who have been past the 2nd round, actively in the mix

Cowboys have traded all the picks they are gonna trade. Nothing is going to happen.

I’d be happy if we got him but there’s also a Case to be made that corner is maybe the 3rd position we need to address and bland has been playing good.

Didn’t expect us to pull it off tbh. It’s also a ton of money to pay the secondary when he needs a new extension

He’s going to want top tier corner money,
If not market setting money. He’s coming off a career year.

I understand the trepidation

Not worth the price for a 1 year rental. IMO

Cowboys win the Super Bowl and hopefully people will never compare the Boys to other teams again on how they wheel and deal...

anything more than spare change and half priced concessions is past cap boys “price point”. I’m sure we will here something about a honest offer at some point
