I forgot, Shane-O-Mac returned. Probably just a drive by appearance.
It lack the usual energy. The camera work wasn't good outside of catching Kofi missing his spot. The crowd just seemed ho-hum through most of it also. Then when Lesnar came out the rest was so predictable.CBS Sports called the men's Royal Rumble Match one of the five worst Royal Rumbles ever, if not lower. Gave the match an F.
Interesting PPV but very predictable.
The most interesting thing was how many retired women came back for the rumble. Just showed me how bad the womens division is now.
Melina
Kelly Kelly
Aliyah
Michelle McCool
Cameron
Ivory
Brie Bella
Mickie James
Alicia Fox
Summer Rae
Nikki Bella
Sarah Logan
Lita
Molly Holly
LOVED seeing Rollings come out to The Shield entrance and wearing his old gear, Nikki Bella struggling to keep her boobs tucked in, and Rousey's return.
HATED when Kingston missed saving himself in the Rumble. Clearly a Oops. Also hated they didn't show the WrestleMania sign when it caught fire, the mixed tag team match, Lynch/Doudrop, Lesnar being the last entrant in the Rumble (really???) and was disappointed in the Reigns/Rollins and the Lesnar/Lashley finish.

Dunno.
That's how they story-tell.The entire company revolves around them and everyone else has to fight for any remaining time and attention.
Saw a video about the release from Cultaholic this morning. We're in crazy times in the wresting business.Guess who has been released by WWE? None other than Shane McMahon.

I'd be 1,000,000 times more excited to read that Vince decided to sell.
They probably won't sell until Vince kicks the bucket.
I've read from a few sources that Nick Khan has admitted that they're listening to offers. I never thought things would reach that point while Vince was still alive.
Tony Khan should ask his Dad for an advance on his allowance and buy it. And why not? He's buying everything and everyone else?
He's got to run out of money at some point. Right?
It doesn't look like it so far. He's paying guys to sit around and do nothing and that shows no signs of slowing down. He clearly doesn't have to worry about turning a profit at this point, and I'm not sure that he ever will. He tried to pay Brian Kendrick the other night before news about his past comments broke, and word is that he's about to pay Keith Lee too. And I have to think he's just the first of several released WWE performers whose 90-day no-compete clauses have just expired.
If I had Jacksonville Dixie's allowance, I'd be signing Karrion Kross and Scarlett as soon as I could. Those two have big-time star power and I think WWE terribly mishandled them before they released them. Their mistake could be AEW's gain (yet again).
And I have to think Roderick Strong will be released soon and Tony Conned will then be able to complete his live action figure Undisputed Era collection too.
But I have to believe at some point his Dad Shad Khan will get tired of funding his son's money-losing vanity project, unless he dies before then. At that point, nothing will likely stop the kid from blowing through his inheritance. And until that day, the carnies will line up for that easy money. Not since Ted Turner and the early days of WCW has the business seen someone willing to spend so recklessly and lose so much money. WCW at one point actually turned a profit.
I'll be totally shocked if Lee, Wyatt, and Strowman don't find work soon.
