What team will unhappy Bills wide receiver Eric Moulds sign with?

Dallas or Philadelphia would be good fits. Cowboys QB Drew Bledsoe could have fun throwing to Moulds, Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn and tight end Jason Whitten. A reasonable price for Moulds would be a late second-round or early third-round draft pick.

ProSportsDaily.com

I don't see the Cowboys going after Moulds.....Philly would be the most likely spot for him unless they can work out a deal for Walker.

That is an unreasonable price IMHO when Javon Walker can be had for a 2nd. Even if we had a 4th, I wouldn't be thrilled if we traded that for Moulds.

No, most players in his situation get released these days and there is no way we are desperate enough at WR to give up any draft pick for another old WR, let alone a second rounder.

Look at his numbers from last year:

2005 Buffalo Bills 15 14 81 816 10.1 55 4 5 1 38

Not any better than Keyshawn who we let go even though we already had him under contract and for a very reasonable salary ($2.5M for 2006).

Now look at his salary:

2006 6089000.00
2007 7250000.00

Whoever wrote this article is either delusional or just plain stupid if he thinks anyone will give up a second rounder for Moulds and his overinflated salary and declining level of production.

Keyshawn said Dallas was in contract negotiations with him untill the very end when he decided to sign with Carolina.

Knowing this is true, I think Dallas will target Moulds who is more talanted then the Key, for the right price.

I wouldn't mind Moulds whatsoever as a third piece....assuming he gets released. Clearly, we'd be insane to trade for him.

Moulds' numbers and age are very similar to Keyshawn. His salary is way higher. If he gets released and wants to play for close to the vet min, we can use a stop gap solution for a year but I'd still prefer we find a good young developmental WR in the 3rd or 5th round.

Stop gap? Was Key stop gap? You must of thought Keyshawn sucked because Moulds is much more productive than KeyShawn.

He played with Bledsoe before and they were comfortable together combining for alot of yards in the past.

Moulds doesn't want to play for Buffy for any amount, but he would come here to Dallas for 3 million which is not only about what we were offering the less talanted Keyshawn but also more or equal to the amount anyone else might pay to him in Free Agency.

Owens-Glenn-Moulds.....

WOW.....Bledsoe would be in heaven and we could throw against ANYONE!!!

We are making a run for the superbowl NOW, I would support this move for the right compensation.

Here are Keyshawn's numbers:

TOTAL 151 146 744 9756 13.1 76 60 132 9 510

Here are Moulds' numbers:
1996 Buffalo Bills 16 5 20 279 14.0 47 2 4 1 11

TOTAL 154 132 675 9096 13.5 84 48 117 34 421

To my untrained eye it looks like Keyshawn has more catches for more yards and more TDs in about the same number of games played over the same number of seasons.

It also looks like their productivity over the past two years is pretty darn similar.

I just don't see the giant difference you are referring to here.

I do know that we had Keyshawn for a cheap price and decided to let him walk because he was unhappy. Why do we want to deal with someone else's headache? We already have one disgruntled WR in TO and another who may be unhappy with his current contract in Glenn. You now want to add a 3rd disgruntled WR over the age of 30?

no, no, no, no sir. moulds does not show me anythign special when i watch the jills. no great catches and i think he has a lack of heart

maybe a change of scenery would change that but i would have key over moulds any day of the week

I'm starting to believe that the 'rumors' of Dallas being interested in Moulds a few weeks ago are more than just idle speculation.

If JJ wanted to resign Keyshawn, then clearly he's not content and looking to add more firepower to this offense. Even with TO, Glenn and Crayton....I still feel that WR is a need for this team.

If we don't sign another veteran, then I definitely look for Chad Jackson or Santonio Holmes to being wearing a cowboys uniform next month. However I would love to add Moulds, but for nothing more than a 4th rounder....it's only fair we give them something since we got away with robbery over the whole JP Losman trade.:laugh1:

You add a receiver like Eric Moulds to the Mix and Bledsoe is going to set NFL passing records this season.

Wow, you have a valid point, I didn't realize their stats were that close but I'm not saying we let Key walk for no reason, Dallas was in contact with Key until Carolina priced us out of the market.

No question Moulds has and always will be faster and more athletic, he has more break away playmaking ability, remember that Key played for much more successfull teams than Moulds.

I think Moulds and Terrell would have a better chance at getting along than TO and Keyshawn.

Why do you think TO is disgruntled? ALREADY? He just got his contract he always wanted.

I'd LOVE to see Moulds brought in on a short-term deal, 2 or 3 years... that would give the Boys 3 aging but rather good receivers, Crayton and an early draft pick... though there's a risk of injury with 30-something WRs, I think that unit would be deep enough to deal with that kind of adversity...

But only if we wait until he's cut, I certainly wouldn't give up draft picks for him... the Bills are going to wind up cutting him, that's the general consensus around the league, and that means nobody is likely to trade for him, unless it's a late draft pick...

We went through this with Peerless Price. Its not going to happen.

Moulds would be a 3rd receiver here. Where in most places he would be at LEAST a 2nd.

Not to mention that he is NOT as good as Keyshawn. I'd much rather us go after Javon Walker in a trade, that would at least get our offense settled for the future.

Henson - Jones - Witten - Walker/Crayton
