QB Carter calls getting cut by Alouettes 'a joke'

What that the landlord will smell it and evict them?

Some people get what I call "super" hearing, or at least they think they do, and start thinking people are talking or whispering about them yet nobody will be saying a word.

this shouldn't even be news. i see that most couldn't help yourselves. I feel for the guy. I hope he can get it together somewhere.

katr: "he's available!! let's get him to save our season. this is like christmas!!!"

The Montreal Gazette disagrees with you.

Kartr has been curiously absent from these latest Crankcase threads.

He's no doubt learning French so he can dispute the translation from the article.

He'll come in here eventually and say, "This sentence doesn't say 'Quincy Carter is through in the CFL'... it says 'He threw too well for the CFL'."

He needs to learn English first :D

No he might have to get an 8 to 5 job like the vast majority of Americans do.

I don't think he could hold down a nine to five. He would keep thinking someone was going to replace him and he would get insulted the first time a better worker is selected for a promotion over him. He might feel like he wasn't getting a good shot to be the lead fry cook even though he avoided burning them the one time he filled in.

I'm sorry a guy not reaching his dream in sports happens all the time so you go out and get a job. The University of George gave him a scholarship which is a lot more than many young people get and now he can put that free college education to use.

I don't believe he even graduated. It is pretty easy to tell his life was sports and he has squandered.

Putting it bluntly (no pun intended), would you buy a car or insurance from him?

:laugh1: Sounds plausable to me. But if he's going to take the translation literally, perhaps a screenname change from "Kartr" to "Krankase" is in order.

You could very well be right but then again that is life and would not be much of an issue if this was just the average Joe on the street. We all make choice in life and then live with them. He received a free education and choose to piss it away that is his fault, hopefully some kid playing sports will see that and choose to stay in school and graduate before turning pro because face it there are no certainties in sports so take advantage of a free education. I don't feel sorry for people who screw themselves. The folks I have sympathy for are those who can't help themselves, not those who had chances and choose the wrong path.

That's easy for you to say. You don't have to deal with the issues that this young man has had to endure. I mean, let's be serious for a moment. He had to deal with prejudice, unfair competition and outright stupidity from jackass owners in the NFL who really were too obtuse to recognize true talent when they saw it. He had to cope with teammates who turned their backs on him when he needed them the most. He did lead two teams to the playoffs and has been better than any QB we have had since Troy Aikman, but that did not matter to these people who had it out for him.

Nevermind, I can't hold it in anymore.:lmao2:

And now it is time to join the rest of us in the real world and hold down a job. Oh the injustice of it all. :lmao2:

I'd get used to that if I were him. AF2 plays all their games indoors.

Seriously, what did he mean by that comment? I have a hard time following that one.
