QB Carter calls getting cut by Alouettes 'a joke'

And now it is time to join the rest of us in the real world and hold down a job. Oh the injustice of it all. :lmao2:

Yeah... but he'll quit when he starts working for a company and they don't hand him the CEO job. They no doubt won't be able to see his clear-cut CEO leadership abilities. He'll say it's a "joke" that the stockholders can't see him as CEO... particularly since Crankcase was willing to work his way up from CFO for a week or so.

As far as I'm concerned it'll always be: Meredith-Staubach-Aikman-Cranky.

I put Carter in the same grouping with Puller and Hogeboom, thank goodness the web was not around back then or we would be seeing guys telling us how great they were.

Seriously, what did he mean by that comment? I have a hard time following that one.

Because, silly, Cranky couldn't let loose his monumentally massive arm and sling the ball far downfield to hit his recievers right between the numbers. The ceiling got in the way.

But as usual, Cranky did the best with what he had to work with. Those stinkin Canadians were just lucky to be on the same field as 'Ol Crankcase.

This isn't funny any more.

It's tragic.

He really needs intensive professional help.

I agree. I've been saying that since early last year.

Actually, he is worse. He cost us more in time, energy, emotions and draft choices. Those two just weren't all that great, but they didn't make excuses for their ineptitude, either.

guys, remember there was a time where Jerry was said to be a genius for taking Carter in the 2nd round, so he could sign him to a 5 year deal? they had an article in Sports Illustrated not more than 2 years ago praising Jerry for the move, of course that was during the '03 season, but still :)

The indoor facility wasn't big enough for his "long"ball." :laugh1:

I agree from the excuse standpoint Puller and Hogeboom were given the same length of time Carter got but when things did not work out they moved on with little fan fair.

It sounded to me like the walls were closing in on him.

True and I think Dallas would have been better off staying with Banks for a season or 2 (depending on how he played) and allow Carter time to sit and learn. I know some will say Troy was thrown in right away but I'll say Carters talent was no where close to that of Troy Aikman.

To say this is utter nonsense. I thought there were other forums for non-Cowboy related BS.

I didn't realize the main Cowboy forum was a dumping ground for former players.

Does it make you feel better to rag on him?

Sit behing a computer and whine about his game play. Who cares? Move on.

This isn't a CFL forum. It's not a former Cowboy forum. It's not a forum to discuss issues by players who were once Cowboys.
