How did Hurts outplay Mahomes? Did you see Mahomes in that 2nd half? Went 4 for 4 on drives where Hurts went only 1 for 3.
Hurts went 2 of 3 in the 2nd half (4th offensive drive was only 1 play with 8 seconds remaining) wherein he led Philly to a TD and a FG.....in the 1st half Hurts went 4 of 6 wherein he led Philly to 3 TD's and 1 FG.....so for the game Hurts led Philly to scoring drives on 6 of 9 offensive drives.....so while Mahomes played really well, so did Hurts and ultimately the Philly defense failed the team.

You'd call that 8 minute drive which led to a field goal a successful drive? Lol. I think that's the drive that lost them the game.

And I'd agree it's the defense and not Hurts, but I just don't think Hurts outplayed Mahomes. He was formidable, but didn't outplay him.

Toe to toe...

I hate that statement especially in a team sport like football. MMA, tennis, boxing that's someplace you can go toe to toe. Football not so much. Mahomes is the best player in the league. Talent wise he might already be the best QB of all time. Who can at least come close to matching him? Allen and Burrow. That's it. The Herbert love fest annoys the crap out of me. That guy is talented but he has done nothing in this league. For the record Dak is a 3/5. 3 when the good Dak shows up. 5 when the bad Dak shows up.

What's really insane is all the pickssssssssssssssssssss. Period.
It's not the picks so much as his loss of composure when pressure's on him. Tries to make throws he (and his receivers) aren't comfortable with. This is one of the concerns once he's earning over 20% of the CAP.....whether the added pressure of the contract means he over tries.

Our QB situation isn’t nearly as bad as some fans are trying to make it out to be. The Cowboys have gone through a couple of real bad QB situation’s prior to Troy Aikman‘s arrival and prior to Romo’s arrival and our current QB situation isn’t even close to being in that ballpark. Those who are trying to spin it is are either clueless or have an agenda.

Who do you think can go toe to toe with Mahomes?
I don’t think anyone can
I think he’s in a tier by himself and the tier 2 is where the next group falls
Hurts just showed that he can by putting up 35 points. Even allowing for his fumble had the Eagles defense showed up in the second half they win the Superbowl.

Jags D limited the Chiefs to 27 points, Bengals D limited the Chiefs to 23 points. It's quite clear the Eagles' D lost the team a Superbowl.

Do you watch football outside of the Dallas Cowboys?

There are plenty of QBs that can go toe to toe with Mahomes.

Josh Allen literally outplayed him in a playoff game
In the 2021 season, Herbert out-played him in Arrowhead with a game winning TD with 32 seconds left putting them up 30:24 and won the game. The second game, Herbert put them up 28:21 with 2:19 to play only for Staley's non-tackling defense to choke as usual. Herbert out-played him last game, but the refs apparently pulled a Brady calling back some INTs for Mahomes if I remember correctly. Herbert got them the lead at 27-23 on a TD pass with 1:46 to go. They are 3-2 after that game, Mahomes holding the edge.

By 2021, in a total of Mahomes 57 career starts, Mahomes at that point was only outplayed 5 times by a QB, as far as Comp Pct, Passing yards and Yds per attempt and 2 of them are owned by Herbert. Not sure how much as changed the last couple games though.

People are insane if they don't think you can put Herbert in Reid's offense and that offense wouldn't lose a step. Hebert been doing it with a battered offense and Lombardi calling plays.

Hurts did not outplay Mahomes on one leg.

Hurts was the best player on the Field in that Super Bowl. Stop the cap
What difference does it make now? Many teams have huge decisions to make on personnel and contract extensions. Not the least of which would be the entire NFC East. At this moment the ”game” is whose ownership group and FO is the best. Can’t go “toe to toe” with any QB in the Super Bowl unless you’re in it.

Mahomes is a big reason their D failed in the second half

Mahomes is in a league of his own, maybe use the 2nd to 5th QB to do this exercise.
