I wonder if Jim Kelly played the same time Boy Wonder played??? Kelly's stats dominate Aikman's.

Without the rings Troy is a nobody.
Better regular season stats do not guarantee SB appearances nor SB wins.

Aikman’s SB stats are better than Kelly’s.

“Jim Kelly had a passer rating of 56.9 with 829 yards, 2 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in 4 games in Super Bowls in his career.”

“Troy Aikman had a passer rating of 111.9 with 689 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception in 3 games in Super Bowls in his career.”

Better teams in the SB guarantee wins.

Look at all playoff stats.

You want to compare Kelly against our D and Troy against their D, like somehow that is a fair comparison.

I am Pro Aubrey & Lewis.

Everyone else I'm hopeful, but they all sucked nuts. Still a fan, but they sucked.

1 TD pass per game in a career is not impressive.

Again, with out the rings Troy never would have even been considered to be nominated for the HOF.
Troy Aikman playoff record 11 and 5. Daky Poo 2 and 5. Wake us up when Dak reels of 9 straight wins to catch the HOF bus driver. Oh and one more thing: Please show us the page in NFL rule book where it says "if your defense isn't playing well, your QB cant either" Take your time, we will wait. Because of all the gas lighting, the defense wasn't good so the QB couldn't play well is at the top of the pathetic excuse list.

Everything starts in the trenches, but that is not sexy for Jeruh.

We don't have bus. How could he be a bus driver.

According to our vans Dak is on a motorcycle and expected to win games all by himself.
Over the last 8 years we have not only had a Bus, we have had several Greyhounds. As much I want to be critical of Dak this year, it is by far the worst team on both sides of the ball he has been with. The problem is, this isn't just a 1 year critique of him, and you have failed to see things outside of this

Serious Question

Why is Dak always absolved of any blame when it comes to his poor play. After every INT, its either the receiver ran the wrong route or didnt do enough to break the pass up (see both ints when targeting ceedee in the endzone). After every fumble in the pocket (Sacks are a qb stat). And the most frequent excuse is scheme and lack of weapons. Was this not the same scheme when he was 2nd in mvp voting last season?

Cowboys twitter is filled with posts like this one. This is now the third offense where Dak fans have casted blame on the scheme.

The last question I pose is, what supposed top-5 QB have you seen constantly given these excuses for poor play? If he is as good as yall say, shouldnt his talent be able to overcome a “bad scheme”?

Was the pix throw in the endzone a triple coverage?
Also, good luck to ding Dan fans. They go into hiding after a Dak loss or after a 2-pix game.
Rocky won't return me calls of best wishes.

No I have not. Just like I don't see Mahomes as a God. You are the typical fan that gives to much credit and to much blame to the QB.

When Aikman defeated fellow HOF QBs Favre 3x, Young 2x, and Kelly 2x in the playoffs; Aikman was the best QB on the field in each game.

I.e., the team with the QB who performed the best; won the playoff game (regardless of regular season stats - Young, Favre, and Kelly had better regular season stats than Aikman).

Aikman’s passer rating was higher in all 7 playoff games and in the 100s except for the 1993 Super Bowl when he played with a concussion.

1992 NFC Championship game
Aikman's Passer Rating 120
Young's Passer Rating 84.6

1992 Season Super Bowl
Aikman's Passer Rating 140.7
Kelly's Passer Rating 58.9

1993 Divisional Playoff Game
Aikman's Passer Rating 103.7
Favre's Passer Rating 80.9

1993 Super Bowl
Aikman’s (concussed) Passer Rating 77.2
Kelly’s Passer Rating 67.1

1993 NFC Championship Game
Aikman's Passer Rating 144.7
Young's Passer Rating 76.8

1994 Divisional Playoff Game
Aikman’s Passer Rating 121.1
Favre’s Passer Rating 58.2

1995 NFC Championship Game
Aikman’s Passer Rating 107.5
Favre's Passer Rating 84

Yes. That is what Moutain Mahomes does. They win games 48 to 45.
He might not score 45 every game. But...he certainly can do more with the offense...ball and clock control even if you don;t score. Give the defense some bench time sheesh!

If the defense is giving up as much as you say....maybe the opposing offense shouldn't get that many opportunities that quickly. It stresses the defense.

It's my opinion that BOTH offense AND defense are responsible for it.

Our offense is horrid, you only want to blame defense. We disagree. So be it. Do I need to be more clear?

You fail to comprehend when the priority was to stop Emmitt, Troy's job became significantly easier.

Whether you like it our not these team was built around Emmitt Smith, not Troy Aikman.

Emmitt was able to run through holes...making his job easier. Our o line now can;t even come close to that.

And so what kind of blame do YOU assign?
It is a team sport. Complimentary teams make deep runs in the playoffs. We do not have that.

GM Jerry believed and or still does believe the NFL is a passing league. This is why we can't run or stop the run.

You clearly do not read my posts on here to see that is not the case. This thread is about pro Dak fans, not about Pro the offense or defense of our teams. I get the love for Dak and the need to portray him more than he is, but after 9 years and the state of this franchise this will not happen. You fail to be an objective fan, and limit your chatter to the QB. I am open-minded about this team and can be convinced that my take is wrong: our QB is terrible, our offense is terrible, our defense is terrible and our ownership is the laughing stock of the NFL. But for you to come here and tell me Troy is only in the Hall because he won 3 Super Bowls, puts you in the category of being a troll

Then it really shouldn't matter as much who is the QB and spending 60 million dollars on a midland QB is beyond stupid.

The Bills had a HOF RB too named Thurman Thomas.

The 49ers had Jerry Rice (the best WR in NFL history).

Each of those teams had players opposing teams would try to slow down.

But the team with the better QB play in the playoffs; won those 7 playoff games.
