because he showed he can play and play at a high level in the NFL as a starting QB

who the hell is quincy carter?
Charles;1490434 said:He starting from rock bottom to get back to the NFL and because he showed he can play and play at a high level in the NFL as a starting QB NFLN is doing a segment on him and not the other guys listed above (except Bledsoe).

Now before you guys jump down my throat I want to tell you that Yes he did smoke himself out of the league but I can't just say " f-him he deserved it," This goes deeper then that and you know We did the same thing to Tom Henderson, we just discard these guys when there no longer serviceable to us( us being the Team ). I really hope someone out there helps this kid, and I don't mean by giving him a job as a QB albeit that is a start but he really needs to figure a way to face his demons and go forward Hey Chris Carter was a major coke head, and he turned it around, and for you guys that want to bury him and say f-him he's gone good riddance, You know I have to tell you I was at that Giants game on Monday night when Tuna came back to Giants stadium and he played his *** off, that was a big time throw to Antonio on the sideline ( yes that was also a great catch ) I was really happy that night I hope he can recapture some of that magic and remember that feeling and to move on and get help. maybe its me I rooted for the guy and I really don't wish him any bad and hopefully he can get the help he desperately deserves

Up to now, Chris Carter has faced his demons and doesn't deny his previous addiction(s). The same cannot be said for Quincy Carter.ilovejerry;1491405 said:You know, I have to say I just watched the interview and I feel bad for him . First, he will have to accept help in order to receive it. No one can do that for him. Not Jerry Jones. Not the Cowboys. Not his ever faithful fans. No one, but himself. It would be better for those who cannot release their passion for Carter to hope for that instead of hoping what others could do for him.ilovejerry;1491427 said:Yes I am aware of that, Thats why I said I hope he gets help,

There are over six billion people on the planet--many of whom are involved in wars, victims of famine, poverty, etc. I just think its strange that people take time out of their daily routine to feel sorry for Quincy Carter. He has his health (I guess) and opportunities are still materializing for him to succeed OUTSIDE of the NFL.. Why does he deserve a neverending pity parade?ilovejerry;1491442 said:I realize that, all I am saying is that I feel bad for him, Did I support him when he was our QB absoulutely, Was I happy when he was cut NO !! because we invested alot of time on him and he got caught doing drugs. yes it was his fault Yes he desreved to get the boot, but watching him now struggle is pretty sad. Thats the point. I dont think he is a polished speaker and it showed in the interview. I hope "HE" finds what he is looking for
ilovejerry;1491451 said:1- I just saw the interview, and thats how I feel. After watching it
2- Because I see a young man throw away a career
3- WASTED TALENT
kill me for having empathy for him.

Ask them to change it for you...
Well, I don't know...ilovejerry;1491463 said:I really don't see it as passion for QC as passion for an ex Cowboy who's in trouble. And yes I'm very Passionate ( to a fault sometimes ) about the Dallas Cowboys but obviously you have some sort of agenda against QC, Because this is a message board I thought it was about Dallas Cowboys, He was a Dallas Cowboy wasn't he? I don't see your point were you trying to be funny? I find an infantile attempt at it. That being said your entitled to your opinion. Because I have empathy towards QC doesnt mean I love him. Do you need a hug today? Did your daddy not give you enough attention?
