Yup. I'm half-studying/half-reading the board.

Might as well bump it to 2/3 studying... 1/3 reading the board...

Finals week?

You're doing business law or something along those lines?

I went through plenty of that... you just brought up some bad memories for me, thanks!

Last year it was the trenches...

Agreed.

Particularly the offensive line. And I think the receivers were a little bit lax as well. We need better routes from T.O. But I think the combination of Davis, Colombo and Flozell mixed with Gurode and one of the other prospects, we'll be a more rounded, mature line this year.

I am hoping this 1 year of maturation and the acquisition of Davis eliminates that hole.
I think it will have a profound effect on the chemistry of the offensive line unit as a whole.

As for the defensive line I think Wade was the answer to sure that up. Spears has thrown Parcells under the bus for his methods and now speaks with such positive energy on the changes that will happen.
I think Wade had a lot to do with San Diego's success last year. I think, schematically, he'll put Parcells' version of the 3-4 to shame. Wade is more innovative, Parcells is too stubborn and mundane.

We needed another pass rusher, that was handled.
I think he'll fit nicely. We've got SOOO many options as to different combinations that we can run up front.

Besides that some would say FS, IMO Watkins will be ready to step up, if not, we got Hamlin for a reason.
I think we'll work it out. Worst case scenario is K. Davis. But I think we've improved a lot with Hamlin and Watkins. Watkins needs time. And I think he'll fit better in Wade's scheme. Not to mention, Henry is willing to play FS, and we still have Glenn. We could use Henry at both positions at times. I think we'll work the FS thing out under wade.

So as long as injuries don't hit us and Romo can drive the bus there really isn't a glaring weakness.
That's what I think. The kick off issue has been addressed. Life is good, my friend!

TO might not be the best route runner but he wasnt used right either in his defense.

We had him running down the side lines while Glenn was running the slants when it should have been the other way around.

Everyone seemed to know TO couldnt run a sideline pattern except our staff.

Romo has Moxie, leadership and the skill to be a bad *** QB. Quinn is average. He doesnt impressme at all.

Totally agree. TO Deep!!! TO deep!!!

Of course, you have to vary what you do. But I think what you say is true. We need TO on the more short routes.... He's a YAC guy.

I think this line will do wonders for our offense across the board though. I think it gels early - same with the D.

I think he's going to go down as one of the "great" ones.

No he wasn't.

That's why the Patriots traded for a guy almost 10 years later to help them win a Super Bowl.

They weren't trading for Ellis.

We'll have to agree to disagree. We took character over a knucklehead. With the way the team was acting then Moss would have right in the middle of it.

I can't wait till one of these days when we take a Star WR in the Draft and we can all stop talking about Moss vs Ellis.:D

Hindsight is always 20/20

Ellis has been a foundation for the team that drafted him for a decade .....

Moss has been run off of 2 teams ......

I do not see a problem with our pick.

Probably not.

But if Jones wouldn't have made a mistake and taken Ellis over Moss, we wouldn't be here now.:D

Jerry made the choice based on what was taking place in Dallas at the time. With so many guys getting into trouble the last thing he wanted was to turn around and draft a player who was known for getting into trouble. It would be like Cinn drafting a thug after seeing 9 guys getting into trouble this past draft. In the end as good as Moss has been he is now on his 3rd team while Ellis has shown leadership on the same team he was drafted by.

As bad as our coaching was those few years after Moss was drafted do you think he would have even lasted till Parcels got here? I doubt it.
