Colombo looked like a stud against the 49ers starters, and Fabini look like **** against the 49er reserves. I don't think Fabini has his spot locked up, but Bill has a tendency to, umm, shall we say "give his former players every opportunity to play"? Even when they suck.

But with bigger, younger, stronger alternatives on the roster, Fabini better get his **** together vs. the Vikings.
Did you even watch the game? I mean seriously, did you?

The McQuistan twins are mirror twins, I understand, not identical twins. They are identical mirror images of each other. Pat is left handed; his twin, Paul, is right handed, as if looking at each other in the mirror.

Interesting, Angus.

actually "mirror twins" ARE monozygotic...from the same egg, identical twins....but they are also extremely rare.

Yeah, I heard that. He said, when asked about his position or be on the PS......they would be all over him like Panthers..he's staying. Good, he looks like he can play with some needed experience.

young OT prospects w/ potential, that hit the market don't tend to wait around long, 31 teams would have had a shot at him if we cut him, I doubt none would take a look

Most talented O-lineman we've drafted since Gurode, I'm saying.

Just look at how the guy moves... Everyone talked about Rivera being ahead of Barber on that screen play 30 yards downfield, but McQ was sprinting out there like a linebacker, and from the other side of the formation. Amazing he's that big and fast -- and naturally strong -- with so little experience and I assume less-than-elite training at Weber State.

This guy will play for us for many, many years. No joke.

I gotta give you credit, you called it ;) j/k, but you were all over this guy in the beginning

Gosh, alot of these same things were said about Pettiti last year, wonder how we will feel about this guy next fall.......I mean all Pettiti did was just lead the league in sacks allowed, lol.

I have seen something in McQ, I just hope it ain't a training camp mirage.

I love him, but Pettiti is nowhere near the athlete, esp. in terms of footspeed that McQ is, if McQ starts, he's going to struggle no doubt w/ the strength of the NFL game, but he wont' be allowing defenders to run around him that's for sure

I told you I would probably be wrong. I broke the tape down and McQ looked better than he did against New Orleans, but that isn't saying a whole lot. He looked confused on several plays and missed a few blocks. One in particular had Julius very pissed off. Chalk that up to just being green. I really don't think team would be over him like "jaguars" as Parcells put it, but hey, that's his opinion.

That said, besides the one play where someone missed a blocking assignment, Fabini had a very good game. I sure hope Parcells wasn't lying when he said he make keep all 5. In my opinion we should keep 5 OTs, 5 WRs, and 2 QBs.

no, the part where McQ wouldn't last much long on the PS
I know. I was just commenting on the general overrating among CZ posters.

ah, then maybe you should have 1st mentioned that instead of the part where BP said McQ would have been gobbled up if he had been put on waivers :p:
