Deion smack talker.
He can talk the talk but I bet he can't walk the walk.

He will be on or looking for a new team next year.

As most know I'm a fan of Murray but I don't begrudge Randle comments, I want the guy being confident in his ability not sitting back and just accepting whatever comes his way. Go out and take the job, I think you have to have that mindset.

I bet the reporter asked the question in a way that Randle felt like an insult. Like there is no way he could replace Murray.

That would explain why he reacted the way he did... including telling the reporter he's been a star at every level.

Just speculating...

I do begrudge it... because Murray wouldn't say that, he would just go out and show it.

This is not confidence, it's just dumb speak.

I don't really believe in PC but in this case saying less would have been better.

He is gone next year.

Tough short yardage gains control clock.

Game breaking runs are few & far between.

8 in the box is going to be very interesting this year.

All true, but when there's a 60-yard TD right in front of you, and you only get 25 yards. That means Romo has to drop back again, possibly getting hit. That means holding calls and dropped passes and tipped balls for interceptions are still in play.

Murray not finishing runs was costly, and his ill-timed fumbles were a continuing problem. He lost that game in Green Bay when he fumbled with a touchdown staring him right in the face. Dangling that ball out there like he does, it cost Dallas in the end.

I think he's just repeating what the coaches are saying to him.

If anything it's a positive that he seems to have bought in

Yes, it sounds like something he's heard other people say and he's just repeating the phrase. It as if a 4 year old said that phrase. You would know the 4 year old would not really talk like that but was just repeating something he heard.

He may be gone next year, our starting RB may not even be on the team but I have never had an issue with a player who is confident in his own ability. Face it everyone is doubting him even myself but he does not doubt his own ability. It is up to him to go out and prove it where it counts but a lot of sports starts with ones own confidence in their ability you lack that you lost before you even started.

Interesting. A backup thinks he's better than the starter. I think this has happened before only Randle said it.

Now he has a chance to prove himself right.

Murray is not a speed RB and can be caught, I blame him for the fumble but not the loss. Dallas was still leading and next series he scores a TD. Fact is we are not 12-4 and in the divisional round of the playoffs without the overall play of Murray. He contributed a lot to last years team.

Again, 9 out if 10 people wouldn't say that's confidence.

It's like déjà vu all over again

Hambrick quotes:

“I love Emmitt, but it’s a competitive sport,” Hambrick told The Houston Chronicle at the time. “I believe there’s a time and place for everybody. You come in and do the best you can and then leave. The day comes to call it quits.”

Hambrick ran for 972 yards and averaged 3.5 a carry last season as the Cowboys sole back, not quite the production he expected. Looking back, Hambrick cleary regrets those remarks he made regarding Smith.

“It was my desire to play the game and I felt like that I was the next thing to OJ Simpson,” he explained Sunday afternoon to Cardinals media members. “They didn’t tell me once teams start game-planning against you that all of those big runs stop. It was an experience.”

Never have been worried about 9 out of 10 people. As I said he has to prove it on the field that is what it comes down to. However having every fan and media outlet saying you can't do it dame right I would do as he has done and stand up for myself and my own ability. If I fail I fail but I would not let doubt sink into my own mind and being a little cocky may be exactly what he needs.

No doubt about his contribution, but that was a TD even for him against Green Bay. At worst, he's inside the 10.

That, and Bailey's miss, cost Dallas a 24-7 lead. Instead, it was 14-10 at the half.

I get it, I watched the game as well. I also know if anything cost the Cowboys it was their inability to get to an injured Rodgers. No doubt any negative play is costly to your chance of winning and Murray shares in that loss but I would not pin the loss on Murray, there were other factors that contributed to that loss.

It's true, but Randle wins the bozo of the month award for saying it.

LOL...... Yep.

What an idiot. Haven't seen this level of stupid since, well, since the last time that guy stole the underwear and sample cologne from Dillards. Oh wait.............

Yea, but when you have done jack your whole career it is not your place to question others who are breaking records.....................Its like Tim Tebow telling the media that Peyton Manning needs to work on his completion percentage.

I don't think that's what Randle did but then again my opinion is not biased toward a Philadelphia Eagle.

There were lots of opportunities to win that game, it's true. However, I would bet just about anything on the fact that if Murray doesn't fumble and we score a TD on that play, or better yet, have a long gain deep in Packer Territory and then power it in after taking even more time off the clock, the Cowboys win that game. I like Murray and I wished he were still a Cowboy but, I believe that if he doesn't fumble, we are in the NFC Conference Championship. JMO

What is still driving me nuts is how Dez' catch was reversed, but the Cobb's catch stood. And there was that lucky play to Cobb late. Grrrrrrr.

Murray's fumbles had a big hand in the losses to San Fran, Washington, and Green Bay, and he dang near cost Dallas the Houston and St. Louis games with others. I hate the way he carries the ball. That said, he was an absolute warrior, a solid guy, and a key part of last year's success.

I think he'll regret taking that money one day and turning down the $6 million in Dallas. He cost himself a lot of post-career opportunities here, not to mention that life-long place in the community that so many players enjoy and reap rewards from to the end of their days. It won't likely go well long term in Philly, and he'll get roundly booed and bashed as that wear and tear kicks in.

we will never know. I would bet if we could have stopped a limping Rodger we could have won the game. I think pinning it on one when there was other factors is not right.

Romo had a hand in the SF loss as well. Murray had 5 fumbles in the 1st 8 games, he had 0 fumbles in the next 9 games. I don't excuse the fumbles but he has never had fumbling issues in the past.
As for regretting taking the money I'm sorry I don't blame players for taking a 8 mill over 6 mill. I can't stand Philly but lets not kid ourselves they have been a very competitive team in the NFC East and I think Murray will be a big help to them especially in areas the eagles have struggled in such as short yardage and goal line offense. I don't expect Murray to reproduce the same season he just had, even if he had remained in Dallas. He is not going to get the same amount of carries he did last season but he is still a very good all around RB and should be a big help to Philly.

Eh. This is a bunch of uproar about nothing.

Who cares if he thinks or says this. He doesn't owe Murray anything at this point. Newsflash for some of those who haven't quite gotten this memo yet...Murray is an Eagle. He is of zero importance now.

Secondly Randle is only saying what everyone watching, who isn't completely stupid, already knows. Yes Murray left yards out there. It happens. It seemed like Murray left quite a few yards out there because of his average vision and his desire to punish defenders at times rather then try an make the bigger plays.
